Maybe top tube pointing towards stem like I plan to do on my orange? Should give you room to manoeuvre still I think ?
Unfortunately not. The top post tapers in all directions and the fastenings are not long enough to go round the top tube near the stem. I suppose I could just rely on the strap round the stem and one top tube strap but that leaves the other one flapping around. It seems a shame to ruin an otherwise good bag by cutting the offending strap off and in any case makes the bag less secure which is also the case if I place the bag lower down the top tube by extending the stem strap.Maybe top tube pointing towards stem like I plan to do on my orange? Drill holes. No way. Drinking beforehand doesn't work for me. When I get to the top of the hill I'm parched. I think the small collapsible bottle, with a small top, is the best solution so far. It will stash in a pocket for the downhill and I can top it up again when I get to the bottom. My existing collapsible bottle's top is too big for that. I wouldn't want to come off with that in my pocket.Drill it and fit rivnuts
But... for a couple of hours ride on an Ebike just have a big drink before the ride and re-hydrate afterwards
sounds like you're dehydrated before you even start. FOD is hardly a mountainWhen I get to the top of the hill I'm parched
I believe it's a reference to the movie "Papillon."Too subtle for me, I have no idea what that means or what your point is. Are you suggesting that I am "imprisoning" myself by discounting a back pack? If so you are right but how does that help? Are you simply point scoring by making "clever" remarks"? I really have no idea.

I tried the Tacx for my wife - bottle falls off within 100m of rough track! Can't get it vertical enough on a medium frame. How about a seat mounted bottle cage/holder?
