Specialized Turbo Levo 2019 Comp dirt collection unit!

So after riding my new Specialized Turbo Levo 2019 Comp for a week, I'm so pleased I bought it. I'm getting out way more now as I don't have to worry about fatigue, being an older guy.
I rode some pretty good dirt trails too and noticed a burning smell.
I checked the bike and saw a huge build up of dirt being collected near the motor bay at the rear of the bike.
I cleared it out with a twig and the smell went away. Are there any known fixes/workarounds.

I also noticed that Mission Control loses Bluetooth connection after a few minutes and won't reconnect. Hopefully, a firmware update will fix that!

You can get a cover for that space, but I just made one out of a small piece of sheet rubber, zip ties round the chainstay bridge and some electrical tape. It's been on for six months, no issues at all.

No, there's still gaps if there is any heat to let out

If you haven’t already you should open up the motor casings and check for crap in the housing.

Lots of threads about this, and the parts Specialized have released to deal with the issue on the forum.

If you bike is a recent build it should have the upgrades fitted, but if an early one or been sitting on a shop floor for a while it won’t.

There should be no issue with heat as there is no inlet to provide a cooling air flow in the motor casing design.
Yes there are retrospective fittings to plug the gap coming from Specialized.

That looks like a good solution. -- Assuming the other end of the thin membrane attached to frame ends with a sharp edge pointing down or towards the rear. Can anyone post a photo showing the underside?

The problem with the original design was the gentle curve on underside that (due to surface tension) drew water and debris into the motor housing.

Had the same problem but with a couple of Marsh Guards and some zip ties problem solved. It stops a lot of the mud and crap from building up in that area.

After having my shop do this I have no more concerns of motor getting debris in it. I also have the 4 bolt cover
