@Rik08 you are correct in saying it is fir a service but it is set at an arbitrary figure by the lbs so it could actually be set at anything. Best thing is to use a chain wear guide for the chain (and inspect the chain ring, cassette and jockey wheels), check bolts regularly (lots do it every ride) and do the suspension services as advised by their manufacturers.

Cheers, I have just replaced the chain as it hit 0.5%, everything else looks good, got new jockey wheels to fit at some point, only issue I have is a noise from rear brake ! Just needs caliper repositioning I think ??

Adjusted my rear brake today, Guide RE, one side of the rotor was touching the pad - just slackened the caliper mount bolts, applied brake and tightened the bolts while holding the brake on and now fine.

As this video shows, it's a dealer setting intended to get you back into the bikeshop to give them more money...

I can’t see a genuine reason for Bosch not making this software available to the user.

I’m sure we may all have a sceptic’s opinion on why not!

I use a lot of electronic equipment in my job all readable and firmware updateable. The Bosch software seems simple and navigatable and would save trips to the dealer (sometimes miles away) and avoid the long waits there seem to be to book in most lbs’s at the moment.
