I've installed the guard on a 2020 levo but it now leaves a gap where the the small plastic cover is removed. First ride with it and it was full of grass, gravel and small stones.
Thinking of modifying the plastic cover or alternatively putting some dense foam down there and washing it out after every ride.

It’s a small plastic cover which fits in the gap, you have to remove it to fir the bottom part of the guard.
It won’t refit as now there are 2 cable ties and the bottom part of the guard stopping it.
I’ve got some high density foam sheet coming so that might fix it.
If not I’ll strip the guard back off and try and modify something so that gap is filled.

Are you sure that the original piece that you removed, can't be pushed back into place? I know a few that have fitted these to their bikes, and no-one has had the same troubles as you are experiencing.. Are the cable ties secured, with the 'knuckle' on the inside, between the lower guard and the tyre?

I have a rear coming in as well and saw on their site the removal of this OEM guard is necessary. I'm not thrilled about that so I'm also going to look into another way of attaching without having to remove the plastic clip. Let me know if you figure out something
