We used playing cards attached to the rear chain stay to make a raspy sound!! I think I may have to phone Whyte for an answer, it started on about day 4 from new, I think it might be the pads resonating?

Proper bike cleanup time. Put it off long enough. Burped a rear tyre too last night 10 miles from home in the dark, so had to sort that. Teach me to play around with silly low tyre pressures.

Pretty impressed after 500 miles in mucky conditions there's zero water or muck in the motor or battery compartment. Connectors all perfect ?? Paintwork is holding up pretty well too. The only place I've added a bit more protection is under the brake hose/sensor cable on the non-driveside stay. It had eaten through the protection + paint where it touched.

It's grown on me. It's a weird colour actually, not really orange like my old hardtail. Phone pics don't show it how it is really. I demoed the 150RS like yours. Loved it.

They must really like Whytes ...While I was cleaning the excess mud off mine at the end of my ride on Wednesday with the bike propped up against a fence in the car park at Ingram ..one of his northern mates came to say hello..so close that if I'd reached out I could have touched him..quite happy to sit there while I chatted to him ..
I'm just glad I was the only human around as they might have called for the men in white coats to take me away ...?

Haha this one was exactly the same. It stayed there for a good few minutes and wasn’t bothered by me being within arms length of it.

My misses goes to these spiritualists now and again and they always tell her to keep an eye out for the robin. I’m not superstitious in anyway and don’t usually believe in all that but I’d gone out on a ride that day after receiving some bad news. Well it was a bit uncanny that I’d just received a phone call from my consultant and as I put the phone down to him the robin perched itself on my handlebars?.

How did the charger update go?
Who supplied and cost, they did say the parts we’re going to be expensive which put me off.
I bought the Charger 2.1 damper from Germany and the 170mm air shaft from TF Tuned. Total cost was just under £300 and then I done the work myself.

Changing the damper and air shaft are really easy. If you can do a lower leg service (which you should be doing every 50 hours anyway) then you shouldn’t have any problems.

Are you selling the Charger R damper you took out? Wonder how much it would get? Not an urgent upgrade for me, but offsetting the cost a bit might persuade me.

I doubt it, I can’t imagine many people would want to buy it and even if they did, resale value would likely be low. I’ll probably keep it and if I ever decide to sell the bike or trade it in towards something else then return it to stock.
