I know this has been covered a few times on posts but I am still unsure whats required?
The shop I purchased my Yeti from is selling new EP801 motors for a very good price and I would like to upgrade from an EP8. I know the battery is different but would I also need to change wiring etc, how big of a job is it?
I can probably sell my EP8 for a similar price to what I am paying for the new 801 so I think its worth a punt.

Hi. I just swapped out my ep8 for a ep801 on my Ducati Tk01rr. Luckily my display and mode switch was already compatible but I had to replace the satellite power switch, the lower battery mounting for gen2 , also gen2 battery. Lower and upper motor covers cos they are different to ep8.
I picked the brand new motor up for £503 including postage. Battery was £653.95 (with the import tax) With the covers, power switch etc it’s cost me about £1500 l love my Dukes geometry and spec (lots of upgrades I had already done also) If I’d bought a new bike I would’ve been upgrading bits on that to my liking anyway so would have spent more than what it’s cost me to do the conversion imo. Hope this helps.
P.s. I had to use a third party program to configure the motor because my LBS (not a Ducati/Thok dealer) said Madison would probably not help. I’m not concerned about warranty anyway so no problem.
