Rise Hydro Stiffness (or lack of)

I do not notice the flex while riding but I may be I’m an outlier in that regard.
I think the lack of seatstay bridge and use of clevis mount instead of a more robust rocker link are the reasons we feel flex. I can barely get it all aligned for reassembly after taking the linkages apart to lubricate bearings.
It is definitely not the real wheel itself, I’ve run mine with three wheel sets including tr37 and we are one union hoops.
That said, I’m still a big fan of the bike and don’t see another with the same benefits at this price range.
I agree. I don’t notice it riding, just when I stop after a run to check it’s still flex and not slap!

The rise occupies a weird space that doesn't have too much other competition. I'm always weary when a bike touts how light it is be uase that takes compromise. Levo sl geo didn't work for me and trek rail and marin were on my short list but I didn't want full fat weight. I can live with a little shimy
Yes, it does. Certainly the best looking e-bike out there. I'm coming from 20 years of riding normal mtb so the halfway house of the Rise really appealed. The deciding factor to go full fat in the end is age. I could manage now and maybe for a couple more years, but eventually I'd probably need to go full fat and I didn't want to be shelling out another 6 grand in 3 years, so I bit the bullet.

It definitely isn't a stiff rear end. I did have play in my Main pivot linkages from factory which I just noticed before my last ride. If you grabbbed the linkages at the seat tube you could move them back and forth a few millimeters. I just loosened the link bolt and used the purple preload tool to tighten everything up and it did help a bit on my last ride. I am now gonna swap my wheels (SC Reseeve 30's) from my Rallon with the Next R31's that I have on my Rise. I know the Reserves aren't flexy but I have a feeling the Next R's are in comparison.

I've been wondering if it could be the wheels?
I never used the original wheels but I know the carbon ones I have on now aren't the reason for the flex. I recently took apart the entire rear assembly to hunt down a creak and it's not the bearings (although they will soonish need replacement). It just flexes a lot. Rides fine though. I do wish there was a bridge on the back, but that would mean a much longer chain stay or way less clearance.

Searched out this thread, lots of flex in my M20 rear end, some looseness seems starting in my rear hub also that is making it even worse. Often look back these days thinking flat. All connections seem tight otherwise.
