Totally agree dude I’ve got a Levo and would love to see some modded levo pictures for inspiration and also to hear about any prob people have come across while making any major changes. Hopefully sharing valuable info on to all fellow levo owners.

Alright, my Levo isn't for sure the most modded one, but I've tried to concentrate to the most relevant updates.

As soon as I got the bike, I knew that I will update the suspension; the stock Revelation with its Motion Control damper just doesn't do justice to the rest of the bike. Hence, I ordered the new Charger 2 damper and updated also '19 model DebonAir spring (160 mm) for it. I also changed the seals into SKF's and assembled everything with SlickHoney. That meant that the fork was as good as it can be: plush but rigid, sensitive but doesn't bottom out too easily. I'm running with 70-72 psi and 1 token.

When I got the frontend working nicely, I noticed that there was room for improvement in the rear as well. In came the Cane Creek Double Barrel coil inline, which I ordered from TF Tuned in the UK. I initially got 600 lbs spring for it, but I changed that to 550 lbs, which means 31-33 % sag under me (87 kg with gear). It took few rides to get the shock tuned up correctly as it has high-speed and low-speed damping adjustments for both compression and rebound, but now everything is setup so that I can just plough through even the most gnarliest single tracks. Plushness is my 1st priority, so the shock will bottom on any bigger drops, but no way harshly so I'm happy.

Other minor updates are EBC brake pads (green stuff) front and rear to stop brake squaling, better grips, custom-made carbon bash plate and a short front fender. I also use Garmin GPSMAP 62s on my handlebar to show topo maps during my rides. Tires are tubeless of course. Next up are 150 mm cranks.

Some bearded guy photobombed me, when I was taking a photo of the bike, sorry about that :cool: I live close to Helsinki, in Finland, next to Baltic sea coast. There are no lifts or shuttles to take me up to mountains (as we don't have any mountains here), but single tracks, rocks and roots we do have.

Just got the rear shock fitted so pretty well sorted now.

2018 Comp BMW flavour, XL.

Main stuff,
Fork - Revelation with Charger 2 damper and Luftkappe. 95kg all up, running one token and 80psi.
Shock - Cane Creek DB air and Bike Yolk 2 volume bands, 210psi, other settings if you need them just ask.

All done by TF tuned, just up the road from me. Because of the weight they were hesitant to go the coil route so we went with the CC DB air no climb switch, gives more range in adjustment so Greg tells me. I have access to a Shockwiz, I used it to good effect to set up the Revelation so will borrow it again to fully tune the shock. The settings from TF tuned are pretty good however I just like tweaking.

I hadn't realised how poor the Monarch was until I rode the CC. Running 210 in the Monarch was horrible and needed to be dropped to 190 for some compliance where it blew through the travel to easily and that was just trail riding. At 210 in the CC on the trail I'm using approx 2/3 of travel 30% sag and I haven't missed a climb switch yet. The shock is just fantastic over small bump and chatter makes the Monarch look pretty silly. I can't compare to a coil having never ridden one but the improvement over the original is night and day.

Wheels - Roval Traverse 29er and Maxxi Minion DHFs front and rear setup tubeless, milkit valves.

Other stuff,
Specialised s-works carbon DH bar, TOGS, Garmin 500 shows Levo battery and cadence.
Ergon grips and saddle.
Front mud hugger and adapted rear, sometimes.
Swissstop brake pads.
Homemade widget - to keep crud out of motor housing.

anyone whos a bit on the heavy side check out the fox van coil shock on the silverfish website they do springs up to 800lbs which tftuned think they can squeeze on to the shock, they are in the process of trying for me now
there is also a company called Ti springs that will make custom titanium springs which will be my next step if TF are not successful

These are interesting mods! But are the original fork and damper that bad in the Levo? I'm having an eye on the Levo FSR Comp and with 100kg i'm not a lightweight. So if i have to replace them anyway, i maybe better go with a Kenevo and end up in nearly the same price range but with more travel and a coil shock from scratch.

my opinion if your a heavy rider like me the stock shock on the comp is horrid and as far as I know the Ohlins shock on the kenevo don't have a high enough spring rate

I'm 110kg and not finding the standard Levo Comp suspension an issue personally, however I do ride a hardtail a lot, it just feels super-comfortable and great on the descents, even on the harder mode of operation. It's always an option to go with a spring in the future I guess, but happy so far. Time will tell when I take it to FOD and Wales/Scotland for a true test I guess!

The two most significant changes mrs levity and I made to our 2018 Comp Carbon Levos were to 1) switch to lighter and wider rims and larger tires for desert sand riding, and 2) install a better performing shock with a remote:

1) wheels/tires: Light Bicycle carbon 27.5 x 45mm inner width rim, DT350 hubs, 27.5 x 30 tires (Nobby Nic front, Rocket Ron or Purgatory rear)

2) shock: Manitou McLeod with 3-position bar remote; fork: 150mm air shaft
