Yes typical Scottish weather when it's good it's good but !!!A mate sent a video from the summit of Ben Nevis yesterday and it was glorious sunshine.
But he had to wait 3 days for the rain to stop

It's as good as brand new ..they've re-profiled the first part of the 3 dog descent ( as pictured) ..but are digging new dirt all the way down to the road exiting just along from 3dog climb ..its not finished ( still closed off)..but should only be a few weeks if that . I think the idea is to link it into the old orange graded NDH downhill course from the top of Deadwater eventually ..but that is still closed & in disrepair and a lot of work is needed before that becomes a reality ..

Ah ok. Only did 3 dog descent a couple times makes sense to make it longer with the clinb next to the exit
Linking it to the orange is no joke that trail is brutal in parts

No, she's from Newcastle!
Don't know where you got that from Mr Sordy ..but she's definitely from Sweden ..and now 88years old ..you'd definitely need the ironing board out to get her looking that pristine again

I know who Ursula Andress is and where she is from. I was referring to the shot of her in water and the inference that she was in cold water (5-6 degC) and the suggestion that she was Finnish or Russian. Newcastle girls are renowned for wearing the flimsiest of dresses on freezing cold winter nights (so that they don't have to check their coats in the pubs and discos they frequent). My niece went to Newcastle Uni and this practice took her aback at first, but by the start of her third year she was fully into it. She said that the correct amount of alcohol kept her warm. She referred to it as her "beer jacket"!

Had a great session on the Merida in the RNP. Rode on my own, so I tackled some really knarly terrain. Having ordered an Amflow. Maybe I have under-estimated the Merida. It cleared some runs today that I never thought possible previously.
Maybe it was me holding the bike back, instead of the bike holding me back. And the training I've been doing has been the missing ingredient. I guess we'll see when the Amflow turns up.
Anyway some pics.
Rode down to Saville Creek.
Found some kids playing in the rock pool. Temperature being about 32C, I was nearly tempted to jump in myself. But being the old man I am, I was concerned about chaffing when riding with wet knicks.
Came across this Ole Mate when riding out. He posed so beautifully. I just had to photograph him.
Thought this a very cool, burnt out Scribbly Gum, with a magic mushy growing in front of it.
Maybe it was me holding the bike back, instead of the bike holding me back.

This northern hemisphere winter there had been some pics from AUS and NZ before but this here gives good reason that Australia is worth being considered as well to be black listed. @Astro66 Thank you very much for sharing! Hope the decision between Amflow and Merida will not be to difficult.
Does the Fox piggy back touch the water bottle? Looks close.
I use the same cable wrap for the cockpit. Good stuff.
on my s4 its absolutely fine, its 600ml bottle on regular fidlock mount. On the photo it looks like it touches but it actually has 2~cm gap

A very moist start to what turned out to be a hot and dusty day.
Started at 8am with heavy rain, mud and moist sand, 17° and within two hours it was steaming, dry, 25° and getting hotter by the second.

No rear mudguard!!!!
With spiked tyres, I'd not go out without a mudguard to prevent tyre buzz.
It`s a mullet so no rear buzzing….and even with full 29” I`d rather take some spikes up to my arse than but rear mudguard on to my bikeNo rear mudguard!!!!
