Just about Col..rested for two days ..had a day at work yesterday and legs back to normal now ( or as normal as they ever are) ..Have you recovered yet Neil ? . The hill walk on the Saturday kicked in to legs after the Applecross cross ride . Walking up the brae to the campsite was heave. Next three days sore but all ok now and ready for more punishment next week.
.
Looks brilliant. How did the batteries hold up? Any range issues?Monday 13th May ..

And remember the last mile is always the longest when walking , its a wee bit shorter when cycling but it can get longer if you're battery is dead .Marvelous! To bad by this Scotland is ready to be listed as no go area as well, even if it still needs to improve a little with the weather.
Appreciate the side details shared. Dealing in metrics and imperial units I learned that there is more miles than nautical, land and air miles: Scots Miles!
None at all Bill..Looks brilliant. How did the batteries hold up? Any range issues?
Well that looks just amazing.Regrettably, there was no other biker on this double black diamond trail to take a photo of me risking my life.

CheersNice one Hodge, looked a great trip.
Yes I always take a toy. Many moons ago I got a job at a refinery in Pembroke got 3 days and they paid a 1000 of us off. 530 miles from me. I had took bike and dawdled my way home so went to Coyd brenyn ? first for a blast , The Karrimor trail and red bull were the famous ones back then. Someone there said why don't you go to Glentress i had never heard of it . So had a blast round there . Marin mount vision was one of the top bikes then. Round about 2001 i am thinking not much Internet info then bike magazines , how did we manage. Enjoy theres nothing like exploring new areas. As Iβm working in the Peak District this week I thought it would be a good idea to take my bike.

Just make sure when you go to bed tonight there are no garden shears anywhere near ..A short bumble along the old railway track this morning from Killin to Callander. Only went as far as the Glen Ogle viaduct because my fitness is shite and my battery was getting low.
The wife forgot to charge it up, she says is my responsibility, I said whatβs the point in having a wife then. So now as well as my shoulder injury I have upper body bruises and sore nuts.

Had the snip 40 years ago.Just make sure when you go to bed tonight there are no garden shears anywhere near ..
I seriously almost had to stop reading this. A bead of sweat was about to develop on my forehead and horrible images were about to appear.I may come to regret this but I ask you to conjure up your own picture.
Last time out, I was aware that something was not quite right in the shorts department. There was an unsightly bulge at the front, but also an odd slightly uncomfortable feeling in the saddle area. Anyway, I was too busy riding to investigate further.
Then I stopped for a pee!
What's this? The waist band of my padded shorts was much higher than usual at the front, and what's that white tag?
Yep, you got it. I had only gone and put my padded undershorts on back to front!
When I look at them, I still can't believe that I didn't notice as I was putting them on. I mean, front and rear are markedly different. What a Muppet!
Aye obviously she disna go on this forum or you widna be saying that. I had a lovely 4 days in Callander a few years ago. I just had a touring bike though. Lovely area though.A short bumble along the old railway track this morning from Killin to Callander.
