After brilliant sunshine yesterday ..todays ride with @The EMF up at Kielder couldn't have been more of a contrast ..Windy & Wild just about sums it up with 40mph gusts forecast ..and it certainly felt that way at the top of Deadwater Fell..but fairly sheltered in the forest itself ..

Deadwater Fell today at 1900ft the wind was howling and we (@The Hodge and myself )were in the clouds with gusts of 40 mph. Visibility poor which made the black graded decent to the head of the trail known as Into the Valley very tasty.
The Radar station barely visible from 25 yards and my buddy looking like an apparition of some long lost grizzly old Mtber doomed to ride the misty hills for eternity. A great ride out with the Blue graded Osprey Trail fast and flowing is brilliant to ride and shouldn’t be overlooked.
Nice pint of the black stuff to finish the day……..,loverly jubbly

Can't beat that panoramic gold but did manage a chilly one with the crew tonight.

Should add the local astronomy buff who was in the car park in the first picture, waiting patiently to see the once in a generation green comet was very polite considering six herberts with Exposure Maxx D's blazing away stopped in his spot for a breather, ruining his night vision for a bit.

"Fine" is never a word I would use if snow is involved. "Rescue helicopter" and "moving van" come to mind.

I'm currently waiting for it to get to 70 before riding today.
