A bit of explanation.
When I say 10% less oxygen for every 1000m I did not mean that you go from 20.9% to 10.9%, I meant that the O2 content goes from 20.9% to 18.8%. The figure of 10% is an approximation for ease of memory. I went to the data in the spreadsheet that does the calculation and I got the following:
1000m gave a 11.3% reduction in O2, ie approx 10%
2000m gave a 21.5% reduction in O2, ie approx 20%
3000m gave a 30.4% reduction in O2, ie approx 30%
