If I was on a Rise, I would be looking at getting the Shimano DI2 Linkglide in 11 speed. I don‘t think an EMTB needs 12 gears. It is less expensive and wouldn’t require any adapter to install.

Hi All,

After testing for several weeks I can confirm the system works with no issues. Heres what I used:

T-Type GX Cassette
X0 T-Type chain (you may use GX or XX)
GX AXS Derailleur
GX T-Type transmision Pulleys
Custom spacer (ID 12mm x OD 19mm x 2mm thi)
E*Thirteen Chain Ring 34T

The first issue encountered was that the T-Type cassette has a 2mm offset outboard. When you install the wheel, the T-Type cassette will touch against the frame. For this reason I put the spacer between the wheel and the derailleur hanger/frame. The stock E*thirteen chain ring works perfect with the T-Type chain, however you may also change it for a sypder mount and T-Type specific chainring offered by sram. As for the AXS derailleur, it would shift with stock pulleys but would some times miss shift. I replaced the pulleys with the T-Type transmision pulleys and the problem stopped. So far I have put around 150km on the bike with no issues.

I am running full 85nm as I have a 540w extender connected in parallel to the 360 interal battery, having a total a 900w. Without the 540w extender the bike would not provide full 85nm. I can shift under full power in boost just like I can on other bikes with full T-type system. Only feature I dont have is the strength of the T-Type trans vs derailleur/hanger system. But shifting under load works perfect.

Can you comment on the 540 w extender? Not sure I know about this.

Oh, can you comment where you can get this type of spacer? ID 12mm x OD 19mm x 2mm thick..

Made the switch over and it works exactly as described, and good job in the description by Markitos. I was able to get a spacer on Walmart.com and lightly filed the spacer to fit the 19OD. It's hard to find the exact spacer unless you have it fabricated by a machine shop, and all I could find was the 20mm OD. My advice is to make the switch once your rear cassette and chain are due for a change, and with some time passing, you may find a used derailleur on Ebay or Craigslist here in America. Nice upgrade.

Your chain will seem very close to the frame on the 10 cog. It may alarm you, but if done correctly it will ever so slightly pass without rubbing. The only worrisome thing that will catch your eye.
Any signs of the chain rubbing on the frame now that you've (likely) ridden it a bit?
Looking to do this once my drivetrain wears out a bit more.
I don't like anything about the Shimano slx that is on my m20, but it is still functioning as it should.

Just fyi, I put the transmission system onto my Yeti sb130 pedal bike. I decided to address my Rise conversion fully over the next few months, but it was tight, but ask yourself what % of time will be spent the high gear, and when so does it rub? The realistic answer is that e biking mostly takes place in the middle gears and a very small amount in the highest and lowest (pizza wheel) gear. Given the very small amount of space in the low gear, it may rub ever so slightly, but not much cause it'll be a small percentage of time. Given the advantages of the transmission system, I'll choose the chance of a very slight rub over time. Final answer, it's worth the risk for the reward.

To each their own, but I spend a lot of time in that high gear. I often use my ebike as a Echairlift.
I will be interested to hear other experience with clearance. Especially, those who do send it on jump lines and aggressive terrain.
I think it could be a big deal if the chain is cutting into a carbon frame...

So it's tight, but I can confirm that it did not rub while I had it. Echairlift? So you mean time on the hight gear, 52 ring? It is close in the 10 ring. All the same, buy any conversion with it fully returnable with the exception of the chain of course.

That's helpful.
I am on the 10 while descending. That's what I am worried about.
While I don't think anyone will take back used components, my real concern is doing damage to the frame. That's just kinda a game over situation.
I am still pretty far from having to replace the slx drivetrain, so maybe by that time there will be some more who have tried this.

I meant that you would put on the cassette and place the chain over the 10 cog and decide for yourself. And if a used system could be had at a discount then that could be sampled and resold if you didn't like. Just my 2 cents.
