The Chipper was the little brother of the Chopper smaller wheels with not quite so messed up handling.
Learn to jump on a chopper and you'll be able to jump any bike.

Your old 20 wasn't too far off the geometry of the first 20" BMX bikes.

Yeah. but unlike heavy Ebikes of today those things had an awesome sounding motor... If you folded the rear mudguard flap into the tyre tread.

I take it the first tank is a heat exchanger ? and the big tank a 300 ? litre hot water storage tank ? - does that have an element too for backup ? and it's hurting my head following pipes as you can't quite tell where all of them join, but you have an expansion tank on the inlet side and on the main water tank for obvious reasons.

you obviously know your plumbing..
the smaller tank is the buffer from the ASHP to the heating system, all (AFAIK) pumps now require a buffer and not just a low loss header.. in front of that is the diverter valve switching between cylinder and buffer.. simple stuff innit... 2 days work that nearly killed me, im so busy ATM I need a clone.

I got a job after finishing "a" levels rather than go to University......the big wide world was far too attractive to spend another 3 years broke and institutionalised.....I got a degree later whilst working in less than half the time. The world must seem less attractive to the young these days to want to spend so long learning stuff that mostly serves no purpose in the real world!!

no I genuinely have to go to a funeral and having been my wife for nearly 25 years, she knows what im like and is just trying to make sure I dont go on crutches

I think you are doing really well! After skinning your shin you were landing with "softer" legs so you were absorbing more of the shock. Another tool in the box is the angle of the pedal. All the time you have your heels down you can stop the lower half of your body going forward on the bike.
I thought the best bit of the film was when your wife helped you move the 2 ramps....I thought she was about to place them about 25 metres apart!!

If you make the landing ramp a bit shallower and longer you will have a smoother landing plus you’ll be able to open up the gap ! Then keep building bigger and bigger ?

yes mate, for me this is just to see if I have the stones to get up in the air or whether I feel like I never want to do it again. I have a steep hill behind the house I can use as a drop and run in for a larger jump that ill build out of dirt but I wanna have a larger wood ramp too, I'll grab an 8x4 next week to make a 3' high jump, not decided on the landing yet though. what I have found is that the second ramp I made was a 9' radius and was longer, it was way way easier to use than the first one I made which was 7' and shorter

...which is why bike park ramps are so much easier than natural ramps on wild trails. There are lots of variables with a ramp...….. is it possible to hit the ramp with enough speed...or too much speed, how long is the transition, is the lip progressive or curled, is the transition/lip level or sloped, is the landing flat or sloping down, do you need to get the front wheel down asap ( to avoid a bad landing further out or to immediately deal with another feature) or can you let the bike fly. In a bike park the lead in to a ramp usually gets you to the right speed, the transition is progressive and the ramp the optimum height to jump and land in the best landing place etc. Only on blacks do they tend to make life difficult by not sticking with known formulae.

the worst thing is, I have 3 sets
rugby, downhill knee and shin and MX knee and shin... I should probably use them
