In truth I was drying my arse! Borrowdale was particulary wet this day. (I've extended my mudguard now!).I think quite lot of people suffer from Entamaphobia, who can't go through gate openings and have to climb over ...

Are you sure this is what he meant? What does he want for his birthday? To go riding
yea, I couldnt get it all day, needed to pedal more or just get better jumping skills but there were people up there that said the trail was running really slow and it was the same on A470the last jump on popty ping is quite a big mo-fo. I 've only been down the trail once , the jumps completely caught me out. I know you can roll the jumps, but for a Blue trail its makes your arse pucker up.
You're a brave man taking on all those jumps that's for sure. Looks like you both now really know your way around BPW. I may try and book some tuition soon, I'm getting fed up of regularly thumping my head on ground.yea, I couldnt get it all day, needed to pedal more or just get better jumping skills but there were people up there that said the trail was running really slow and it was the same on A470

it's a funny place really, all the trails reward you for carry lots of speed and its really hard to get into that habit. popty ping definitely needs speed, same as A470. it makes safe progression a bit difficult (im finding) cos when you step outside your comfort zone onto the red trails etc its hard to carry the confidence to keep the speed and then there is judging the obstacles and the speed each feature needs. its definitely helped my riding progression a lot but its gonna be a while before I am able to send all the trails without a problem. You're a brave man taking on all those jumps that's for sure. What's with the new avatar ? (that's not a dig, I'm curious).

it doesnt help that I dont wanna do any of the blacks though, they all look a bit shit to me, all techy and no flow and thats a bit dull
Love this! From the backyard ramp to the A470 in 2 years Showing all us oldies how it’s doneLOOK !!!! a very very excitable old man !!!
gimme a shout when you go, if I can meet you up there I will !I'll get up there soon. Maybe over February half term When I'm off work. It's only a 20 minute drive from my side of Cardiff.
yes! thanks mate, I've thought about this a lot and of course this is exactly why I made the first ramp..Love this! From the backyard ramp to the A470 in 2 years Showing all us oldies how it’s done
Jumps are awesome fun, but intimidating, and I’ve experienced all the issues you have in learning the skills. BPW has been high on the agenda given the length of the trails and quality of the jumps which look to offer plenty of repetition to help develop the skills and confidence. The trails looked in great condition for winter. Is it worth the trip now?yes! thanks mate, I've thought about this a lot and of course this is exactly why I made the first ramp..
not only that but If I read that first post from this thread, I've learned so much since then and barely scratched the surface. I had done a lot of riding before buying my ebike but I gotta say, it was all pretty much worthless in comparison to what is considered 'normal' riding today and I have basically had to learn from scratch again, like many of us old blokes!
yea the trails are rideable all year round although the techy natural trails are well dicey in the bad weather. I dont mind going in the rain or in the cold but rain AND cold, thats a no.. so yea its worth a visit all year round..Jumps are awesome fun, but intimidating, and I’ve experienced all the issues you have in learning the skills. I'm like that without crashingI also fell off yesterday. Today, I can't walk without swearing.
sounds nasty, its that time of year though sniper roots had me a Sam off todayBiggest off I've had for a couple of years; at speed, sprinting to hit a jump I usually cruise over and hit a tree root that spit me off the bike and into the ground. Hard. Fucked up my arm, shoulder and thigh and hit my head pretty hard too.
