Got bike 3 weeks ago.
common issue charging on bike (reached 91%)...no problem externally.
Last week wouldn’t start, reseated battery (worked??)
Yesterday failed again. Hairdryer on contact points. Worked, and took bike and battery indoors for some warmth (ahh).
This morning...failed. Lights come on for a second but disappear. LBS are picking it up later today to insert a shim under the contact points for battery.....they say this issue with Giant is not uncommon.
Of course it may still be water ingress judging by posts here, but I’ve never used hose anywhere near motor.
I knew this bike had a water phobia but I just couldn’t wait (for the Whyte) ?
Fingers crossed for the shim.

Gooday fitmac.
My 2019 Trance E+2 Pro had your problem. Bought and fitted the shim pack so hopefully will cure that fault. Had a look at my Sons 2021 Trance E 29" and his contact block is already 2-3mm off of the base block. I was going to fit a shim kit to his to prevent my problem, but looks like Giant beat me to it.

Thanks for that. LBS fixed it same day (Off Camber) but not via Shim. They had to replace a component in electrics below base of battery area. Not had time to delve further....should I?... or just enjoy it being fixed ?
Love the bike otherwise, esp the responsive, economical motor.
