Ride Control One unit MY2021/2020 on Trance E MY2019?

The smart gateway flashes codes. No idea yet what means what. Normal powered ON is flashing orange with my bike...which seems crazy for normal status code.

Green is On for a second right after you hit the power OFF.

I believe all 2021MY bikes are now equipped with SG (Smart Gateway). I am trying to confirm this, but its like pulling teeth. I would love to install the RideControl Dash controller/display on my 2021 Stance E+1 (US). Under the specs, it says the 2021's are using the newer RideControl Ergo SG controller, so I don't see why I couldn't swap the Ergo out for the Dash unit instead.

Does anyone know about compatibility of Ride Control One ant+ with 2016/ 2017 Road-e+1 (Giant SyncDrive Performance, Yamaha X94) 2017 Giant Road E Plus 2 | Giant Bicycles UK (giant-bicycles.com) ?
Giant's website title says it's a 2017 then confusingly shows 2016 in the web page so I'm not sure if that's MY2016 or MY2017, I bought it end 2017.

I had 245-FLED28-015 fitted today, LED's and ant+ work fine- but no motor at any assist level or with walk Ride Control app shows diagnostics ok. Unfortunately put bike in car and drove home before I found motor wasn't kicking in.
I was sick of water issues with previous Ride Control Evo's and have Garmin anyway.

When power is mentioned is this battery power that's displayed- or do you get power meter function?
