Not a complaint! Just an eye opener!

So got my e-180 RS November 27th, did a bike check last night and pads are about metal to metal rear and very low front?! Mostly downhill, off piste, steep riding in very wet winter muddy conditions!
I have the code rsc and despite the hate I found them amazing! No common lever throw issues and bite/modulation was really controllable and powerful when it counted! Just surprised how quick the pads have worn down, I’m not really a brake dragger but this is my first e-bike so maybe that’s the key the difference..... considering Uberbikes race matrix whilst still riding winter bogs and getting OEM for when weather picks up!

It seems to be a common problem but I think it's a combination of things - mud being the main thing at the moment plus the extra weight and the type of pads fitted as standard. I've fitted the Uber e-Matrix to my e-160s and well impressed.

Sorry yeah they are the ones I was looking at as a replacement not race matrix ?? Still seen some bad reviews of em but for just over a tenner can’t complain!
All to be expected for the type of riding! Absolutely love the bike, gives me loads of confidence! What brakes yours running btw?

Mine are still original Guide RE (apparently based on older Codes and not the same as other Guides). Front is a bit soft but rear is just fine so having it serviced this week.

Funny you should say that, my friend bought a specialized with same set-up as yours and after his 6 week set-up a re-bleed improves his soft front brake ?? But yeah they look very similar to my codes

I have über e-matrix with Guide RE's, running 223mm Galfer Rotors, all working really well - super powerful now, I am usually a Shimano fan brakes wise but the feel and power of my current set up I am very happy with.

I bought my 150RS in winter, and needed new rear pads at first service. Extra weight (mine and bike) wet mud and getting used to the bike, meant I burnt through mine quicker than expected.
I too shopped around for alternate to OEM, and there's plenty out there, and I've not had a duff choice yet.

I’ve just fitted a second set of front and rear Uber E-Matrix to my 150-RS, never had pad wear like this (500 miles) but never felt so confident on a bike as I do on this marvellous contraption.
I just love to point it downhill and let it go.....so small price to pay for such a rewarding ride

I've been through 2 sets of brakes but the 2nd set were the nukeproof sintered ones which felt great all the way down to needing replaced from heavy wear. The weather and riding far more aggresively down steeper trails have been the main reason i'm using more than i'm used to.
