Thats where id like to see the long travel emtb's go. 46-48lbs , a bosch sx , smaller battery but extender compatable and triple clamp. 180+ travel. Mid power 55nm and 400w battery is all i need for spinning up logging roads for dh trails, bike park and lift laps. Keep the 155- 170 travel bikes as the do it all with full power big battery and then back down to sx with 400w battery for the 135- 150 rear travel trail emtb's.It'll be a slash exe, with a bosch sx motor, I know a guy that knows a guy
What size is the new TQ battery>?I'm just hoping we get an EXE with the new battery ASAP. I cant hold out much longer! the TQ50's ride profile but cannot abide being limited to the 360 kw battery... and the weak range extender is almost like salt in the wound!
580 whWhat size is the new TQ battery>?
FFS FWIW IMO 170X170 WOTTFMSORI believe this means the amount of suspension (170mm front forks, 170mm shock)
My bikes are 160mm/150mm. The amount of stroke a shock is capable of. 170/170 is too much for me. I’m only 5’9” and 160lbs. If I was 200+ lbs and taller , I might , might get a taller suspension.
I’m still trying to figure out the acronym(s) being thrown around in here …FWIW, FFS, IMO
Im Curious if it’s the TQ motor with the new larger battery? Or maybe the Bosch SX….Finally got to see a real picture of the new bike and the specs. Release is next week. The inventory I saw available yesterday disappeared. Looks like it will be a blast in the mountains.
Maybe there will be another bike coming out in the future, but the one being rolled out next week is not full power.I was told it will be a full power Bosch (CX) from the Trek employee that told me about it
Unfortunate. The current tq motor seems like its aged 5 yrs in the last yearSure
Nueva bateria de 580Wh para el motor TQ HPR50 (con novedades)
La nueva batería TQ de 580 Wh lleva al motor TQ HPR50 a otra dimensiónesmtb.com
Bigger battery. Link says:Could it be 580w peak power, bigger tq motor? Or are we sure the 580 is battery W ?
500Wh Bosch Powertube batteries that came with our 2022 Trek Rail 5's weigh 2.9kg. 625Wh batteries weigh 3.5kg. We have both."580 Wh and a weight of 2.6 kg (260 Wh per kg)" Looks like solid numbers. Mahle SL 320W (1.8kg) + 160W extender (1kg) make for 480Wh at 2.8kg combination.
Looks like waiting for better battery package proved smart from Trek. Should be right around the YT's numbers, +/- 21KG before pedals for upper-tier enduro builds.
Same weight btw as 600W from DJI.
580/2.6= 223wh per KG580 Wh and a weight of 2.6 kg (260 Wh per kg)
