Hi everyone,

I've finally been able to find & order an eMTB here in Switzerland. After searching for 10 weeks i've managed to secure a Trek Rail 7 - 2021 model which is being delivered in July to a local specialist.

Really enjoying the forum & counting down the days till I take delivery... I haven't owned a proper MTB for 20 years (now in my mid 40s) but, after borrowing a colleagues eMTB I was instantly hooked and converted and have been searching ever since.

After speaking with other local eMTB owners it became clear that being based here in French speaking part of Switzerland it was important to get an eMTB from a local shop rather than order online as the support they provide is fantastic, much used & regularly needed :cool:

I'll post some pics and description when I take delivery in early to mid July.

Thanks,

My Rail 7 finally arrived on Saturday! It came with the latest Bosch motor firmware update - Went for a 24k first ride in the Jurando+ trail in the Swiss Jura's yesterday. Epic bike, very stable & builds confidence fast.

Beautiful bike! I'm waiting for the 2021 version to hit the US market. Anything you don't like about the build?
That’s exactly the same as mine. It’s a blast, I love it. Done some minor upgrades: grips, deity pedals and flipped the Mino link to high. Have got the Kiox on order and a set of Saints as I find the rear brake fades when used a lot.

Love the bike and really enjoying the trails I’ve been riding. I have x3 observations regarding the build;

1. The seat dropper doesn’t go low enough for me. I’m 5’10 with 81cm inside leg & riding a “M” size frame. I’ve noticed other Rail riders swapping out the dropper to another brand that drops lower & I plan to do the same soon.

2. My EU model didn’t come with a quick release front wheel hub..? As I don’t currently have a trailer or rear-toe hook on the car I need to remove the front wheel quickly to get in & out of the car - the shop I bought from have ordered a matching rear quick release hub for the front wheel & will fit for free next week!

3. The Purion display isn’t great - so I’ve ordered the Kiox upgrade from the shop I bought from. They are going to part exchange the original purion at full retail price against the new Kiox & also fit for free (hopefully next week too).

Just my first 3 weeks in and less than 150 klms so early days - best of luck with your wait. However, when they arrive you won’t be disappointed!!
