It's mostly the same frame, just different motor area for the new 2 bolt attachment method of the new motor
Could just be the same frame and just a little metal adapter no? I have no clue if this would be legit or not. But if not then, we would have to wait for revised mold which is quite expensive for a brand.

New screen similar to the Shimano one (Horizontal), 600W and 800W batteries, the 800W one is lighter than the current 750 W, new motor, new abs brakes

At the very least the battery weight reduced for more watt I take it!

I wonder how long it will take to be on new model like Strive:On and Orbea Wild

Summer 2025?

At least 4 more announcements today based on emtb-news, so far only the crestline looks really appealing, out of my price range unfortunately.

23.5kg for the 800Wh in a 180/180mm package, definitely dream bike level!

Yeah .. honestly I am only considering DTC brands.

Best would be commencal but they do whatever they want whenever they want and never follow trends.

Damn it, 80% of the bikes popping up on emtb-news are (horrendous) german bikes like haibike, flyer, focu, bulls, ghost... Most of which have almost no presence outsice of germany, and many of which are bike packing type bikes...

Hoping for some updates from Canyon and Orbea to confirm whether they can fit the new 800Wh batteries.

The battery factor does not look the same so I guess new frame required.

Bigger tube require imo, from semi circular to rectangular.

Maybe some frame are already compatible but I would not bet on it.

I'm really glad they've changed the mounting system. It will allow for a more sensible orientation within the frame. Two big mounting bolts is far superior to a bunch of tiny screws like the Gen 4 has. For those who don't like cutting edge design, there's always Brose.

Moustache preview ahead of tomorrow's release:
Can't decide if it's ugly as sin or fine. But most likely a very well handling bike thnaks to the central weight distribution.

Hey there, for what is worth, I had a quick discussion with Commencal, mostly power sx, about the Gen5!

They told me that they will announce new models early 2025, they could not told me more right now and finish the conversation with "you will be happy"

600/800 is weird juxtaposed against 625/750. One offers a clear advantage, the other a retrograde offering. Coming from a 625 Jam2, I doubt the motor would be enough to persuade me to give up 50 points on the battery.
