Where ever
Ok update. Had a morning down Coed Y Brenin, got wet, muddy and knackered so shoes and all my cloths went in the washing machine. Machine stopped and the moment of truth as I opened the door. The shoes were the cleanest they have been for a year since I bought them, sparkling, well not sparkling but clean as a pin. No damage to them that i can see. Now hanging up in the warm bathroom to dry. They still don’t smell of roses but then I don’t want them to. Will see if the pong has gone in the morning. (y)

Me always also in summer. More grip because I get sweaty hands and things get slippery. And they protect against sun also
TBF you do need grips that actually wick sweat away from your hands to ride gloveless in a hot summer.
Rubbing your bare hands in trail dust can also help.

Now buy a boot dryer to keep them fresh!

Put them inside a pillow case and and wash them on a sport light 'cold wash' I have dear trainers. £130 plus. They survive. MTB shoes are much tougher

No room for things like that. We don’t have the luxury of living in a house with all that space and gadgets. (y)
Anything that blows air you can use. Water evaporates better when moistened air is replaced with fresh air. Placing them in a windy area also helps. Put some newspaper in them extending outward. This will absorb the water inside the shoe and the bit of newspaper extending out will let the water evaporate.

My five tens stink. I must admit to not looking after them just wear them rain or shine on the trails, put them under the bathroom heater or in the sun to dry and wear again but yesterday I was down Coed Y Brenin all morning in the rain and the trails were wet so got soaked. Has anybody with five tens put them in the washing machine and did they survive.
I wash my mtb shoes (3 pairs of) in the washing machine often. My mates usually ask if I have bought new shoes such is the usual result of a good wash.

I wash mine in the washer too but I always put them inside a thick cloth bag to protect the drum, my misses would be very unhappy if I damaged her washing machine 😁 as a footnote 🙄 I use Nikwax tech washin liquid too

Look up mesh laundry bags, the kind of thing the ladies might stick their favourite bras in before machine washing.

These bags offer a degree of protection for stitching etc but still allow yer shoes to get a good slosh about.

Good idea the wife’s bras look like a fishing net so will wrap my shoes in that. :D

I wash my Palladium - rubber, leather and cordura - riding boots in a washing machine with normal detergent pods at 30 deg, regularly.
After few years of usage I give my shoes to my dogs to chew on. They love the smells of the forest and the owner… then the boots get disposed as bio-hazard.
