No, he's got the sniffles.

I did have one off, caused by a fuckwit stopping dead on the top of a jump... Video to follow hopefully.

Well, it was nice of the fuckwit to film you and send you the video of you falling off ! :)

Sniffles ? Is that the new UK slang for under the thumb ? :ROFLMAO:

No. The front is a Crud XL and the rear is a Mudhugger 29er Medium (get the large).

Even the Dog's pointing out that you've not glued your Bosch badge back on ...

Or is that the secret derestrictor ? Remove the label .. it's no longer a Bosch .. the rules no longer apply ?

So sick. Where did you get the Ultimate damper upgrade? It that the RC2.1 with high and low compression adjustments?

High Rock Ruti

Yes it has high and low speed compression, my LBS got the damper ($390) included when I purchased the Rail 9.8 XT. I just bought the socket to open the air chamber to check for spacers. I've been experimenting with pressure and rebound settings but so far I've been unable to get the fork to be as plush as the Fox 36 grip 2 without the high and low speed damper. I'm hoping that there are spacers to remove to make it less progressive softer off the top. The (RockShox Deluxe RT3, DebonAir spring, RE:aktiv w/Thru Shaft damper) works really well, despite reports that it can blow through the travel and bust rims, I'm a light weight so it performs really well at my intensity

That bike looks so excellent. Are you saying you cannot get the Lyric with the Charger 2.1 RC damper that I see in the photo of your bike, to be as plush as the GRIP2 on the Fox 36? I was a little confused because the GRIP2 and the RC2.1 have the same HSC and LSC adjustments on the top the crown.
I'm talking to a shop now about the 9.8 bike, and ordering the RC2.1 damper, and a 170 air shaft for the fork.
Trek does not want to deal. They want their MSRP that's for sure. But I have time to ride now.

Off topic, but the paint on your bike looks excellent. Did you apply any frame protection solution?

Trek rail on my short list after this lockdown is over, few questions.
1) Is the RE:aktiv shock any good? or something that needs changing, I like jumps & drops.
2) Does the Bosch Gen 4 motor rattle in tough terrain like all the reviews said?

cheers lads, stay safe.

I’m liking the shock tbh, I don’t feel any need to swap it and I came from a Levo with an ohlins.
Mine doesn’t seem to be rattling at the moment but I’ve only done 51 miles

I really liked the shock, but then I never tested it off big drops. It was very smooth for charging down rocks etc.

My Bosch rattled like hell when going down bumpy surfaces when not pedalling. I found it really annoying after a couple of rides.
It was like riding with a chain that was too long - and was slapping off the stays with every bump!
From the sound of it - newer ones aren’t suffering as bad?
