Motorcycle carrier for eMTB rack?

Hello!

I have a specialized turbo levo and a hurt back. I have been in the market for a bike rack with a ramp, but they are wildly expensive.

Has anyone had experience using the motor cycle style carriers? Can these safely hold a full suspension eMTB?

I am specifically looking at this black widow rack:

I am aware that you are not based in the UK, but this may help.

I have a Thule towbar bike rack and I was sure that I had seen reference to a loading ramp, so I had a quick look and found it, here:

I can recommend the Thule Velospace XT 2-bike carrier.

Thule VeloSpace XT 2bike 13pin UK Model (938)

It is designed for fatbikes and/or emtbs. The bikes can weigh up to 30kg each and the tyre width up to 5" (I think, if that is important to you, best check). Anyway, it's certainly more than you need for an emtb.

Chap here has just brought a converted car - van fitted with a wheelchair accessible rear door.
He just wheels his bikes in .shuts the door a gets in the car to drive.
It's bloody useful as he took my mower in it to the workshop.
Bikes just stand up in the back.
