If you love or hate the big “S” they sure know how to captivate an audience. Hopefully the hunt isn’t better than the kill. I am more excited now that there is a glimmer of hope for Comp/Expert maybe in the release

I have a deposit down on the Forbidden, but it's entirely possible gen4 will get me to cancel it. If it's 90% as good as a Druid with DJI, I'd probably go Specialized just to have a broader support network.

There is a method in their madness
And it’s Goto to do with market buying client awareness etc etc they spend millions of dollars on marketing to check what day what time as apposed to Chinese markets etc etc etc European times etc

The gen 3 full fats Levos have been removed from the Specialized website in some EU countries.

A little odd that they would take down the alloys. Maybe they will just let the distributors and shops take the remaining stocks of those.

Wow! 9 months after the launch appointed to main competitor...
I'm sure Spesh is sleeping very well comparing their sales figures with DJI...
I think they were well aware of the DJI Avinox unit well over a year ago. , it’s their business and anyone who runs a successful business to always know what your competition is doing and with what , but I do think they weren’t ready for the impact it had and how well it’s done maybe also a reason for the delay to actually see real world tests from them Santa Cruz Whyte etc
Hence the late Summer our autum release

A thought.
Not so much for those in regions where the bike runs 32kph

But for those running in 25kph regions with a de-restrictor.

Will you buy a new Gen 4 & go back to 25kph or wait until a new Levociraptor becomes available to stay with a speed thats higher than 25kph?

I know several people who run a Levociraptor set at around 32kph & wont be buying a new Levo until they can unlock it.

Thoughts?
questions like those always baffle me. why are you buying a levo in the first place? this is a mountainbike. made for riding in the mountains. the motors takes you up to ride down some trails. does it really matter if you can ride up with 25 or 32kmh? or is this coming from people who should have bought a motorized trekking bike, but they are boomers and want as much cushion as possible?

so what are you, a cushion loving boomer riding some agricultural tracks in the flat or do you ride proper trails?

Spoken like someone who has never felt the fear of pedalling like mad approaching a gap jump and have the motor stop assisting.
Agree, would not buy a bike that cant have its limit raised.

If Specialized want they can easy find out if the bike is derestricted and Bosch has gone far to make problems for the customer if the motor is derestricted so must lightly Specialized is making it even more complicated to derestrict G4?and more problems if it's done.

hopefully the 27/8 has a paywall to keep the poors from activating such features as heated grips/saddle
I am quite concerned 😟 as I am going to Glenetive next weekend to a remote bothy with no phone signal so I won't know what has happened. Should I cancel weekend ? , climb to top of hill to get a signal , or just man up.

I’ll send you a specialized s works carrier pigeon

Yes, you’re right, all e-mountain bikes should be designed with this niche use case in mind…

What about the even bigger gap jump that you need 40kph to ride?

The sooner we’re all on Sur-Ron’s the better for the sport I think…

Looks like the top of the new Levo. Which from my lmited understanding looks like the SL with a bigger downtube, battery comes out the side and more interestingly a smaller motor. If my souce is to be belived 110nm motor and 830kwh battery.

I’ve already seen the new Levo, I knew this wasn’t it but was just stirring the pot but I didn’t know what bike that was. The Levo I saw did have the new X2 on it though, I said the new X2 looked similar to the genie shock but was told by another poster that it wasn’t similar at all. Turns out the genie shock and the new X2 use the same air can🤣😂

Fabim be banned shortly I think 🤔
Fabin is serving an important role as the thread elucidator !

It appears that each time we remove one person who's too important to read anything in order to obtain an answer, they are replaced instantly by another. Fabin can stay as in 24 posts (actually more, but we deleted some) they've shown themselves to be consistent, reliable and dependable as someone who can restart the thread on every page for anyone not paying attention.

To help Fabin, and anyone else not paying attention, we've changed their title to answer their own question each time they post.
