You will have the 600w option and another option (let's say smaller than 400w) ...
lol, found a “cheap “($400) 500wh battery for my Kenevo. Have to say, I don’t feel a lot of difference between a 7.9lb(700wh) and a 6.3lb (500wh)battery when on the bike. I stand by my belief that weight is less of an issue on e bikes.

On the other hand, I go on a weekly 4-5 hr ride with my 55# Kenevo and it is very hard to lift over fences and gates that we encounter. In retrospect, I wish my bike was lighter, like the SL I used to own . . .
PS: I sold the Levo SL because it did not have enough range for the 4-5 hr rides

ride a kenevo sl, then add the range extender. if you can’t feel the difference, you are not really riding

Dealers may have some info before but the release is only in April.
If they were to lift the press embargo sooner than the actual release date then they might save themselves some customers. Don't see the harm in having some media release first ride impressions, etc. over the next 6 weeks to at least build some hype and give people a glimpse at the bike.

I already own a levo gen 3, 2 motors so far....can only be better with the Vala!
Yes feel your pain I went with fazua twice and 4 motors over all! One thing you are getting with the vala is reliability and a very balanced bike. I had the heckler sl but didnt quite do it for me. If I don’t end up going for the Levo I’d go with the vala and a range extender hope you enjoy it.

Also went Vala.
been begging specialized for a few months now to either fix the app or allow us to use the old one again which was better.

Very happy with my purchase. If the new Gen4 is a real "game changer" (I really hate that phrase) then I can always sell the Vala and get it. But im done waiting and loosing a whole season of riding.

I finally went for the Vala, don't care anymore what they going to launch and if or when....the Specialized App is utter shit!

I’ve never really understood the need for apps to ride bikes. If you want to track, use Strava or buy a garmin. Then just go ride the bike. Sure there’s the handful of times when you need to adjust the power levels, but I find they are generally a set and forget thing.

No, but the App is useful for changeging configuration and custom tune the motor. My phone is in the backpack while I ride and it's recording the ride. Moreover, doing Firmware updates would also be convenient as it was with Mission Control.

All the specs have already been leaked in this thread (there is even a picture of it a few pages back). It looks like the SL but has a giant down tube, unfortunately still a Brose motor and will be heavier than the competition. It will be slammed full of gimmicky things and have lots of adjustments for riders who have no idea what they want and social media influencers to talk about. End of the day by the time the lower end models drop it will be 2 year old tech and lagging behind everything else.

I'm still excited to see it but I personally wouldn't be caught dead riding a Specialed.

Please tell me where there was a pic of it posted? Or are you talking about those screenshots from Lioc Bruni’s Instagram?

How often do you do that? For me it’s somewhere between ‘once a year’ and ‘once’.

Try Strava or buy/get given a Fenix, they’re much better for recording rides.

Ya me to would like to see these pics
And if it’s anything like gen 3 it’s still a good e-bike the gen 3 is on par with the top new 2025 completion models top 5 including the DJI so it really doesn’t need to do much except be slightly better and you get a (no matter what anyone says) phenomenal e-bike that doesn’t only look good rides like a bat outa hell , everyone has their own taste and honestly allot of Bike for just about anyone. I’m so frikken excited to get mine and yes I love the fact that it has bells and whistles and 110 Nm in turbo (SWorks) a 800 watt hour battery can’t wait to mess around on that bike and learn to ride it with a mullet or straight 29er .This whole discussion that’s 64 pages long is about one bike that’s being launched
So maybe it doesn’t blow everyone out of the water because other models are getting just that good at making bikes but that’s also because of what Specialized did at grass roots when they launched the first e-bikes and the past gens that they came out with , and everyone else has been playing catch up
So let’s see April is almost and pretty friken sure it’s going to be my best new bike day ever (or at least till gen 5 drops 😝🤣🤣🤣🤣)

I hate Strava, as said MC worked fine for me, since they changed the App I can't even save my profiles for motor configuration. I used that feature quite regularly. Also the Bike Lock is convenient. Firmware update is a neat function, and most of us appreciate not to drive to the bike shop in order to update the software.
If you don't use the App that's fine some of us do. There is no judgement here!
