That cable is from the remote? I have been trolling around about the none wireless remote but that cable is triggering my OCD 😖

Was discussed extensively and quite animatedly in the original thread. I think the only part of that conversation which was moved to this thread was the conclusion :

What 21700 cell has a 6ahr rating?
5ahr is max here in the states and the 58E is only 5.5ahr.

As far as using 52v battery’s for 48v systems that used to be the way to go but most BMS manufacturers changed that back in the beginning of 2024.
Bafang for example, cant use a 52v pack with a newer 48v controller.
You can re-flash the software to go from 48-52v but it’s a process.
Better to just stay in your lane with the correct voltage.
Ok maybe that's true in the ebike industry where regulations are bit stricter and the use broader. It's definitely a miss from the industry or they are just holding back like computer chip production/sale was when every year or two a better one comes and the one you own is old or maybe even obsolete.

For example, In the eskate world the use of 14S 52V battery packs on 48V motors Is widely spread with no problems at all for the exact reasons explained in my post link(better performance, range, etc...) the only downside being a slightly higher weight, which is offset with power.
I myself am running such an esk8, and it's range and power are phenomenal.

To awser your other question, there is only two curently avaliable 21700 cells on the market that I know of:

FEB 21700-6000

Lishen LR21700SS

Currently u can also already find them in online shops as rewraps:

XTAR 21700 6000mAh
Keeppower 21700 6000mAh
Vapcell F60 6000mAh

This is a new generation of ultra-high capacity cells that has recently become available and is like any ultra-high capacity cell, if you want to get the full capacity from it you’ll need to run it at a very low level…under 2A-3A.

These are also larger cells than some normal size, at 21.6mm x 70.9mm they fall into the 22710 category...just like the bigger 22700 Panasonic cells Giant was/is using in their 400Wh and 800Wh packs already 2,5y ago.

I'm still waiting to hear what the "game changing" feature is.
If what people are saying about the battery being modular and being able to switch between 840Wh and ~600Wh I’m assuming that’s the game changing part. Would probably explain why the battery side pics aren’t available at all, and would explain the “miss” on the weight. Removing that extra battery piece would presumably put it right around the 50lbs mark that seems to be the magic number to be under now for a full power bike.

Sorry, but that's hardly game changing, Giant Reign E+ had that feature in fall 2022 when they released the same size 800Wh as the smaller 625Wh, both fit into the same hole without any modification.

I played around with the levo gen4 swork display today, great! control button is with cable,.

very small nicely integrated motor, battery compartment on the side similar to trek ebike, but longer with key. Down tube quite higher. Magnet removal still only once. No reason for me to leave the gen3 pro.

I know we put this link at the top of this page - which means its a long long long way to go and look. Maybe check that thread before posting new images so we don't have the same images 12 times on the same page - you could even post your images in that thread as it's the images thread ?

But here it is again :

Sorry to be a pain. Just trying to make life simpler for everyone who's been on the rollercoaster of repetition for a long time now.

Yes, but i think he is saying the 840 battery is actually two batteries that both fit in the downtube. Take the 240 out and you have your swatbox. If that is correct, I would say that is kinda a game changer. A modular battery is a pretty obvious development, that many of us have dreamed of for years. Being able to override the speed limiter is another game changer imo. Can't wait for Tuesday. My Lbs cleared out a huge display area and are hidding them in the back with armed guards ;)

WOW !

Well, Launch day is nearly here.

We've decided we'd far rather be out riding our free pre-release Gen4's given to us by Spesh for making sure no images or info leaked - because as is perfectly clear - the forum is sponsored and controlled by the bike industry. Shsss - don't say anything to Spesh or they might want their bikes back.

We'd also like to apologise to the free speech brigade. Yes, we go out of our way to try and stop pointless time wasting arguments amongst like minded/passioned people. The good news is, the internet is full of places you can goto to waste your time arguing with other numb nuts.

Thanks everyone who's been sensible, helpful, understanding and reasonable about everything.

From here on in, you can self moderate this thread and the other one. Either politely ask people to delete their duplicate, duplicate, duplicate, duplicate posts - or ignore them and see if you can get to 100 pages in the next couple of days.

We'll leave Mrgreenbeef's as an example as I've lost track of how many we've deleted today all from the same page ..

Maybe someone can start a lottery thread guessing how many times the launch date will be asked. It only says it on page 1 here, page 1 in the image thread and in the title of this thread - what chance would anyone have of working it out ?

Images thread ... for reference .... you can CLICK ON IT and go there !! o_O
