Ok! Avinox is a great system (by now, cause now body knows because it’s 7 month old but most guys ride it since 3, 4, 5 month ???)
And know body knows exactly what Specialized will do with the Peak3 “Basis”!
How can you post such bullshit ???

Have you ridden the G4 Levo so far?
No? So what you are talking about??
motor facts are facts. 2.4kg, 2.8h charge time, best tracktion.

Technical details of the Brose that’s due to be used in the G4 are already available are they not?
To be the market leader and innovator it would have to be smaller, lighter and more powerful with better control/power delivery and a really well integrated control screen/app than the DJI offering.

If it’s not all of those things, it’ll be behind by default.

We don't have any details about the Brose motor Spesh are using. It could be a Peak3 or it could be something else they have developed. We don't know.

Does the brose have an intentional overrun or can you maneuver through rough terrain with a pedal kick (bosch), or multiple magnetic pick-up (dji) or 2.8h charging (dji) or an equivalent display (dji)? There is nothing comparable on the brose website.

I'm sure that in a good E-MTB, the motor is just one component, less important to me than the function and balance of the frame.

The DJI's power/torque numbers are absurd and far removed from what assisted pedaling should be.

Is it really a bike for cyclists/athletes?
Are we sure it's a reliable product?
How will its after-sales service work?

Not sure it matters in this thread as much as how the G4 performs.
The G4 needs to be at least equal to or better than its competitors whom ever they maybe and be a better bike.
To directly compare the G4 to the Amflow, it would also need to be a ‘Trail’ bike.
If it’s a more of an Enduro bike, it would need to compared to other bikes; maybe the new Forbidden E-Druid?

why i drive a gen3.
but all in all, the last levo, times change, competition has overtaken.
Has competition really overtaken? What I see is that the various brands are proposing what Specialized did five or more years ago (KADO), centralization of the masses, lowering the weight, increasing connectivity, etc... and that is basically why the gen. 3 is still so good. In addition, some technical solutions have come out that reveal some contradictions, for example the size of the Bosch 800 battery greatly widens the central part of the frame (It disgusts me) and the range extender does not contribute to lowering the center of gravity of the bicycle (not to mention that the cost of a range extender is not indifferent). The choice of many to use a 600 battery lightens the bike, this is true, but it is neither fish nor fowl, wouldn't it have been better to opt for a 700, sufficient in most cases? Is the search for more power in the engines really an advantage? In real use I much prefer greater autonomy and the ability to put the power to the ground in the best possible way. Battery integrated into the frame? Inconvenient, even if it lowers the total weight of the ebike and stiffens the frame. As I have already had occasion to say elsewhere, aside from the various (and understandable) hype, what is happening is what happened in smartphones a few years ago with a general alignment of performance. And then, let's face it, how boring it is to see only Bosch around...

This is a great point, and frankly one that the Levo has proved. 🤷🏼‍♂️
Sure! So I should sell my gen.3 to upgrade, spend at least 5000 euros to buy let's say a Vala, and have a battery with 100 W/h less, take another 500 euros from my wallet for the RE and do the same things I do today with my bike? Mmmmm...

I reckon 2025 is going to be the year non chines ebike companies really will start struggling financially just look at EV Tesla the king for years then suddenly chines BYD turned up and they are only in the initial phase and now Amflow with chinese engine. G4 is still not on the market but Specialized is going to get the hardest time ever.

Massive 50% write down on Specialized market value by Merida - from a timing perspective not the best time to launch a new bike.

I suspect you have read my reply incorrectly.

If you read it again, I’m saying the 700w/h battery is a better compromise than an RE.

It's not a good time to buy and sell either. Look at the car market in Europe: the best-selling car is the Dacia Sandero, a spartan and cheap car compared to the others... people don't have money to spend anymore and if they have to spend they do it wisely. Just to be clear, the Dacia Sandero is the CUBE of e-bikes... a good bike that focuses on the quality/price ratio. It's all getting really expensive, I just spent 320 euros to have my fork and shock absorber serviced...
I'm seriously considering keeping my gen 3 for a very long time, overhauling the engine when necessary and replacing the battery if it dies...
