No Blue and Red, but that funky finish that I see following some research on the stump jumper, like a splater oil slick kind of effect. I haven’t seen it before but it’s on the current other bikes from spesh but not in these colours I don’t think.

Haha, you know what I didn’t ask? I think it might be MX however I am sure you can run both, I didn’t even look at the back wheel tyre size. Just think full powered LSL2 but with enduro grade components, at least on the S works and next gen motor and battery tech.

840Wh battery would be horrible. It will make the bike ride extremely heavy and sluggish. Also, say goodbye to manuals and bunnyhops. There's a reason why Santa Cruz went with 600Wh on the Vala. Smaller and thinner battery also avoids the dreaded "pregnant downtube" looks that everyone hates.
I agree. Very very rarely would need 840W. 700W is about right.

My view of why I think 1Kw is better for marketing(this case).
I use to study a bit of number psychology and it's uses. I would also suggest any business owner to invest some time to study a bit of that. It's a solid placed science behind it.

This phenomenon exists due to the fact that people are exposed to round, or semi-round, numbers more frequently, allowing them to remember those numbers more easily.

I am not saying even/precise numbers are everything in marketing, there is also space here for odd numbers as they are often associated with creativity, individuality and uniqueness. They are also seen as being more memorable and attention-grabbing than even numbers so they are also used often as they can help to make a product or service stand out from the competition.
Ebike/battery/motor(technical product) I would use precise numbers, for a service and odd number would probably be a better choice.
There is also the factor of audience you are presenting the product/service to, for that u need some market survey data or market research, big companies have people employed that do that.
It’s why they should offer 2 sizes.
I would rather the 840, weight isn’t an issue as the bike will stay properly planted on fast rocky shoots that I love to ride.
I’d love a 900 internal too…. But also there’s efficiency, the new motor could use less power for a given distance/climbing so the power we do have lasts that bit longer.

From what I have looked at the new style battery at 814-840 watt/hr that runs on the 48 volt system is pretty much the same weight as the current 700 watt/hr battery in the 36 volt setup

If you can afford a s-works you can afford a second smaller battery for every day riding.
I hope the battery will still be removable as I often do a battery swap when I do multi day events where we are allowed-to leave a battery at a water point.
If it’s small and compact like the Bosch battery even better.
At the moment I ride mostly with a 500 and then leave my 700 at the 1/2 way water point during a race. (We have ebike category races here )
But a range extender would be an even bigger bonus where there are no battery swap station on some of the longer events. As I have not found an elegant solution to stick a specialized batter in a hydration pack without riding with a full on hiking rucksack.

I've an awful feeling this is the main feature being removed.
I could maybe live with a fixed battery if its fast charging, i can get 1.5kw into my power bank in 60 mins, so similar would be excellent.
But you sure cant beat a 2nd battery for a big day out.

I imagine the Embargo lift time is set with the US timezones in mind, so probably in the afternoon in Europe. Assuming it's today...
Keep an eye on embn. They usually bollox up the video release and put it out early.
