And another one in North Wales. Marin Trail, or Gwydir Mawr, near Betws-y-Coed.

This trail actually killed my bike, luckily just within the last mile at the end.

That looks fun, all the years I've been riding in wales, never done that trail as my mates always said it was dull, but it looked good?

That video is the 15 minutes of the fun bits. If you enjoy climbing on wet slippy rocks for a further 2 1/2 hours then yeah you’ll love it 😆

Gwydir Bach is the shorter version that has all the fun descents, so worth going to loop those trails a few times 👍🏽

I thought the battery had just ran out of juice ! What is/was the issue ?

Unfortunately not. The bike will turn on, but switches off a few seconds later. The battery latch is fine, so it must be a loose connection with the top battery bracket at the top of the downtube. I spoke to a local Canyon Service Partner (bike shop) and they have assured me they'll get the issue fixed and get me back on the trails in no time. We'll see.

I made this shorter version of the vid to show exactly when it cuts out and also if I need to show it to Canyon or the bike shop etc to help my warranty claim:

So I am trying to get back to where I was pre injury, didn't want to do a full uplift day, so a suggestion to do a bike pedal up day, I was interested. What I learnt was that I still don't have much upper body strength or stamina, and the bike has far more power than I do still. I had my forks dialled for local trails, but at BPW they didn't like it at all, so was trying to dial out the small bump chatter. By the time I got it right I was too tired to try.

I also got suckered into a race and ended up coming 9th in the ebike category. Not bad considering that some were using chipped motors!
Quick edit. Forgot to mention my mate tells the guy giving him grief to F off around the 11 min mark.
Plenty of jabbering then 🤣

Spent the bank holiday weekend in the Shropshire Hills near Eastridge Woods & the Stiperstones. Here’s a little video from one morning there. Unfortunately I didn’t film any of the super steep stuff at Snailbeach, but probably for the best as we kind of fell down it rather than rode it 😆

All these trails were ridden blind so I’m being fairly cautious
