NHR route !! really disappointed with the initial down track, 20mph max in a headwind but got onto some really good single tracks and forest trail. No crashes today sorry lol.

Sat nav on a bike. That’d drive me nuts 😆

As soon as I saw that steep bank to the right I thought you’ve got to drop in on that, and then you did! 👊🏼

haha its my phone, i was testing Kamoot. Never used Kamoot so uploaded a gpx to it to see how it guided around a known route. More for future travels .
Yeah that bank had to be done

i loved the.... pedalling on a trail, i dont do pedalling, its for road bikes comment in your latest upload

Haha I don’t mind pedalling up hills, or on xc rides, but once I’m on a trail I like to be stood on the pedals and use gravity & pumping, not pedalling grrr 😆

Silverstar Bike Park in Vernon BC. This trail is rated as Black and is called Double Dog. Over the years it has had a number of different structures built up on it but nothing lasts forever when they are made of wood and riders get injured on them! This video was one of our first runs of the day to check out the new features.

The spring has gone in it so the bell 'tinkles' all the time. I like it that way as people can (sometimes) hear me catching them. Rocky Road is a bridleway but towards the bottom it is particularly 'bouncy'. 33mph on top section, 24 mph through bouncy section...

One of my crews bell has gone the same way. It's like riding with Santa!

One of the Original North Shore trails (built in 1992!) and still pretty spicey in parts! Today, I almost ran into the biggest stump on the trail! I have never been able to clean it and I am not getting any younger or better 😞.

That's one Fromme trail I have never managed to take on ... beyond my ability for sure. But, when you consider it was built in 1992 and the shape it's in (as your video shows) speaks to the incredible work that NSMBA does along with the investment they make in good relationships with the land managers. Every time I ride the Shore or see video of people riding the shore, makes me think my $50/yr is money really well spent.

Yep.... Digger (the builder) puts a lot of love into that trail (and a few others)! I foundly remember back many years ago when he was working on the teeter, on the log, over the pond and said "I just fixed it, are you going to give it a go?" Now most of my friends have fallen into the pond as it used to be a lot harder to ride the rotting log until he filled it in a little. My G/F at the time said "go for it, I will take your cell phone, just in case". I made it that day and every day since. The trick is to NOT look at the Heron looking for food in the pond and to NOT try it when its slippery! There was also a fund raiser to buy Digger some new artificial knees and an ebike a few years back. Money well spent!

Anyone having issues downloading GoPro footage recently?

my Quik app has had an update and has changed its general look and format

however, when downloading files , it loses Bluetooth connection after about three files are transferred and the GoPro switches itself off

it can be turned back on and files continue downloading, but after a few more files it just repeats the process, loses connection and the camera turns itself off

most annoying

anyone else experiencing this ?

Can't really confirm this issue as i dont have a GoPro sorry. I always transfer from sdcard to phone direct for better speeds and stability. If i transfer from my camera app to phone via the wifi connection its sooooooo slow so sdcard direct might be better for you anyhow?

If he has an apple (not sure about Samsung) you can direct connect the GoPro and it’s fastest.

however after a ride I’m usually too tired so having the GoPro auto upload it’s self over Wi-Fi is the way to go. Takes longer of course but in the morning your 2 hours of vids that you’ll delete anyway will be accessible via phone iPad or computer anywhere in the world thanks to GoPro cloud storage.
Ah i forgot about the cloud storage offered with the GoPro, yep makes more sense now.

Had a half day in Leogang. Set up new Scott gambler that I got frame for 1300€. Set up suspension with 29% sag which Felt amazing compared to the normal free ride 15-20% I use because the jump line in stuttgart needs a crazy poppy bike. Also have the trickstuff piccola HD brakes which I switched from the RSCs and they are better and at 300 grams lighter.
I don’t know how to keep the music going.
starts with a little DH. then flo. Then the only trail I care about, hotshots. Found some kids to follow.

Nice ride looked awesome, Quite mesmerising at times with that audio.
Regarding the music... are you using GoPro Quick ? If so, easiest way is to choose music and select a track almost the same length as your edit time. Your vid 5 minutes + but the audio track was only 3 minutes + etc.

A few of the trails from our Whistler weekend. I prefer tech trails over jump trails but Whistler has lots of both!

Schleyer - Double Black Tech/Flow Trail

Joy Ride - Double Black Tech trail with steep rock slabs

POLP Fiction (Formly known as Crack Addict) - North Shore style trail

McKenzie River and More Duff - Tech Flow

Crank It Up - Probably the most used flow/jump trail (BLUE) on the mountain. ALINE is more well known but much more difficult.

Any quick tips for settings for gopro 10 for downhill biking? I included the chesty in the package and thought it would be best mount for DH.

When are you getting a GoPro man?

Make sure the straps on the Chesty are really tight! If you wear a backpack, tuck the straps in behind the Chesty straps. Extra batteries are cheap. I run mine using the following settings:
Resolution: 2.7k @60FPS (image quality is better and the video can be slowed down if desired) and when you upload it to Youtube, always upload the video as a 4K video and it will look good!
Lens: Superview
Hypersmooth: Standard
Bitrate: High
Shutter: Auto
EV Comp: -0.5 to -1.0 depending on how bright the day is
ISO min: 100
ISO max: 1600
White Balance: 5500K (Sunny) 6000K (Cloudy)
Sharpness: Medium
Color: Natural

There are countless videos on the topic but this guy is pretty good:
