Polar opposite trails, the second one for me please.
I'm usually one for golfie laps but gypsy glen was a nice change, the views were amazing and so much fun trying to pick lines blind down the natural trails

Is Gypsy Glen the long XC route you can do right opposite Glentress ? We fancied it last time we were there but the motor died on one of the bikes so we gave up on the idea!
Fame at last...Sunday's ride at Gisburn containing a mention to @The Hodge within the first minute!
Contains Boardwalk, the climb to the summit (which I am referring to as The Bitch), Long Way Down, Long Way Home, Swoopy.
About 20 minutes all in. I would say 'enjoy' but you've probably all seen this sh!t before and will be bored senseless by it...
Dustiest I've seen hootanni for a while
Here's one from last night at Kilburn - Dark horse trail
Camera angles not the best and I'm a bit smoked after a big weekend, could hardly hold on by the end...
I'll try get some chesty/chin mount vids together soon, it's a bit nicer to see what's going on with the bike
Yeah the climbs are brutal, ebike makes perfect sense there
Did a test whilst on holibobs with vimeo too, much easier/faster than youtube but on a ( free ) basic plan you get 500 Mb weekly / 5GB total upload storage !! That would be eaten up in no time lol. I might have missed something but cant see me switching from youtube to Vimeo for them reasons ?Well that experiment seemed to work ok. It takes seconds to upload to the Vimeo phone app and the app appears to put the resolution at 1080 / 4k immediately, unlike YouTube which takes hours to upload and then publishes at an annoying 360p

Yeah and its pretty expensive if i recall correctly, the uploading time and quality was way better than YT for sure but the storage limit is a killer for me. Click on your profile and in there somewhere you can see your upload limits / usage, ive got rid of the app after testing so not entirely sure on the navigation.Aah, never noticed that. I’ve only uploaded 2 videos so far that are both less than a minute in length so probably didn’t get too close to the limit
That’s a shame, Vimeo is far easier & quicker to upload than YT. Suspect they then charge a monthly fee for more storage ?
So I got out last night with @DJ57UMP around my local trails trying out the different settings that I've been looking at. I think for me the best result is the 4k at 50fps. will see how much this kills the battery/storage as last night less than 20 minutes were filmed the battery had gone, but that was with all settings on again. Next test with Bluetooth, voice, etc all off.
It is as @yorkshire89 explains, it will automatically default to your internet speed, you can upload in 5k if you wish but no point as most TV's or PC's wont be able to play it back at that rate. You’re video is already at 1080 x 50p too. 99% of YouTube videos posted on this forum default to 360p and I have to manually change to 760 (usually only option) before watching. How did you do that ?
I notice when I first upload mine to youtube they'll be 360p but the HD version is processing in the background and won't be available for a while after.
YT might be automatically selecting a lower quality version based on your internet speed, unless it's just a setting you need to change? They seem to default to 1080p when I view a video
yeah thats bonkers, thats about 5 times mine?
What are you watching it on?
It starts playing at lowest resolution whilst its monitoring sees what bandwidth you have and then should start upping the rate. You can always do it manually... Also YT/Google will be paying for bandwidth and so start lower as some people probably won't change it. Keeps their costs down...
BTW, @Tubby G that download speed looks a little pedestrian...

You have me licked on upload - you on Virgin?
I'm on Zen Fibre 1Gbps down and 100Mbps up (only getting 610Mbps as I'm upstairs on a Gb LAN with a Wireless backhaul to downstairs router! ;-)
Yeah, I'm fibre right to premises (FTTP).
Glad to see they are concentrating on the under-served communities first. B4RN do similar (Broadband 4 Rural North). I spent 25 years in the Telco sector...
