Is the m3-700 battery compatible with the m2-700?

I have a friend considering a 2022 levo with the m3 battery. He has been using my wife's 2021 while I ride my 2020. I have a spare battery so we can extend rides by judiciously swapping in the spare halfway through the ride and then swapping in the half used one into the other bike when its battery runs low. So the question is: Would an M2-700 work in a 2022 levo sourced with an M3-700?

M2-700 and M3-700 have the same battery, but the difference is in rock guard and charging port. So it will work as long as you can also swap the rock guard kit (LEVO MODEL 2022 BATTERY ROCK GUARD KIT) ...
