How long before you change your bike?

I've gone through a bunch of eMTBs since 2017, it took time to find the right bikes. With hindsight, I reckon there's one that got away and one I'd love but can't afford. That said, I'll have my Levo SL for a long time, and I am really enjoying my E-Sommet 297 too. Between them, I don't see another new bike in my future for a good while...

I would say it depends on your area. In july 2020 i bought a new 2020 FS 27+ Yamaha/Giant for 4,000$ canadian.
11 months later i sold it for 3,800$. So i bought almost the same bike it was a 2021 but on 29,
the 400Wh is now a 500Wh for 4,400$. 2 days ago i bought almost the same bike
2022 but the thin 25mm rims will be 30mm, i like wide tires and they fit.
It should be mine(here) in 6 months. Demand is very high, i can sell for a lot of $ so
i can get a new bike. No need of transmission, brakes, suspensions $$$$. A fresh new battery,
why should i keep my Ebike for 2-3 years?
