How bad are Schwalbe Eddy Current tires to install?

I use the third pair of eddy current tires. yes, gravity is generally a problem with schwalbe tires, but it's nothing a person can't put on. I ride the rear eddy with a tanuss insert
Related to EC's sidewall protection in rocks, how well does the rear hold to cuts and slashes?

My Surly DWs 2.8s were a real b$tch to put on my 44mm carbon rim and a full-round Victtoria foam insert, sun heat up and soapy-foam-water barely helped, which I'm replacing with an EC2.8. Not looking forward to Hulking out, so I think I might try Schwalbe easy on lube.

Clocked over 1000 miles on my Eddie .
At least 200 on the road riding to and from my local trails
Soft compound still has loads of life left .😀

I've got one of these NIB in the USA I'd sell for $55 shipped (48 state). It's the 27.5 x 2.6 version.

Hey there, has it been that long since we chatted?

I've happily been on a Relay since 2 April's ago, so 18 months now. Loving it!

I've followed your build here, came out real nice.

No inset , no lube, went on ok, the 29 inch front that I did a few years ago was a pain ti get on but I have the super trail on the front now which was a lot easier.

I think the clamps may be a good idea. I use the older version Vittoria full inserts...👇

So, definitely adds to the difficulty seating the bead...that and the carbon rim sticks a bit more, so going lube too I think.
