The Specialized schematic shows a spacer washer (part 5) between the horst link bearing pairs. But the diagram appears to be showing the carbon part, because my alloy part has a built-in ridge separating the bearing pair. (Which makes pulling the first bearing a ton of fun!)
- Does that mean I should not use the spacer with my alloy horst link?
- If I use a spacer, on which side of the built-in ridge should it go?
- Or does the alloy part use 2 spacers, 1 on each side of the ridge?
The bearings are #2 and the chamfered washers with seals are #4. That much is clear.
