Canyon got it right with the cable routing and frame geometry around the motor. 2 really muddy rides and some thorough washing and this is the state of the top motor plate under the cover. Pretty impressive considering some of the pictures I have seen posted from other manufacturers.

Don't know man, I think the leafs and the mud would make the motor cosier ?
Excuse the smugness, but happy not needing to worry about this.
