I have 2 questions.

1. What do you use the storage charge option for?
2. Does anyone know how to derestrict the giant SX e+0?

60% charge is for when you are storing the battery. There are a few electronic options to deristrict or you can do the free, move the sensor to the outside of triangle and stick the magnet on the end of the pedal/crank.

I got my bike back yesterday and now everything is working as it should there must of been a problem with the bluetooth controlers on the handle bars as giant have a mk 3 model now so my app works and i can also acess the tunning. My local dealer peddlers in redcar have been amazing any problems i have had they put right asap so hats off to them. Just need to get out on it now :)

My local dealer have sorted my app problem by fitting a new controller too!. Has it made any difference to the range?

Hi Guy's
My Trance E+1 pro is in the shop at the minute waiting for a new ride control one unit to replace one that keeps playing up( wont turn off etc).
Just wondering how long it took for anyone else on here to get a replacement unit?
Thanks
Shaun

Mine took a week to come from Giant and 2 hours to fit, but they stripped the full lot down and made all the connections water tight.

Hello all ian having a problem with the range on my sx 0 pro thought it was me at first been new and not all that fit so while i have been off the bike the last few weeks my brother haven testing it for me, he is very fit and a top class rider who rides a focus now he has finished DH.
So he has run the full battery right down in turbo and got 13.8 miles climbing 2,500 feet, today he took it out with a fully charged battery on the same ride using the 3rd light and got 14 miles. He has used the first and second light and the same as me says there is not much assistance so only good for flat or very small inclines.
I have had the control replaced with the latest one so that solved the on off issue any thoughts welcome

would be great if Giant developed a 700wh Battery for the Trance, im sure they could cram it in the same place, or does anyone do an add-on type Battery?

It's a bad design anyway seen how big the giant battery is compared to other 500w batteries it should be a 700w at that size.

I test rode a 2019 Giant Trance e+ this week and got 33km with about 1000m vertical climb over 3 hours. I was running about half the time on the 3rd or 4th highest power setting the rest on the 2nd and didn't have any record of my cadence.

I can never get more then around 20miles on setting 2 .
Something seriously wrong there Mickey, unless you are dragging an anchor and chain behind you. I get around 60 kilometres
( just under 40 miles) riding hilly farm country and at times using level 3 and sometimes level 4 on a really steep climb. I weight 90 Kg (198 pound) Your dealer should be able to help you unless you weigh 100 kilograms (220 pound) or more.

34rpm cadence average? There's your problem. The motor is doing 90% of the work here. Get your trip cadence average up around 55-80, and you'll increase battery life by at least 30%. Feel the burn a little sometimes. :)

I might aswell add I'm 90kgs plus kit in coeyd brennin I did 45kms and 6600ft climbing on my 500 battery in setting 2 weight does make a huge difference but even more is tyres it also depends on terrain I can squeeze 35miles in cycle track setting 2 but most the time I'd only get 25ish miles on techy climbing and proper trail riding if u just spin up a fire road it uses less than on off power for techy climbing ? People on here saying they get 50-70miles I can only assume a few things 1 there lying 2 they weigh 60kgs with fast roling tyres and are very fit 3 using a 625wh battery all the lads I ride with have 500-625 batteries all weight between 12-19stones and nobody gets more than 25miles serious riding on a 500 or maybe 30-35 on a 625 the 19stone lad scrapes 20miles ?
