Does anyone have any idea when ride control will be updated? It would be nice to have some input on what WE the owners would like. I never have it displayed because during a ride it doesn’t show any info I’m interested in. Mode selection, speed is small and in Km. . Even battery remaining or range doesn’t show up..Map kinda sucks. I’ve been trying to ride new places and use maps to find trails. I’m lucky to live in the birthplace of mountain biking and there is all kinds of different riding areas.

Yeah, the app is certainly not one of the selling points for Giant. Unfortunately I’m pretty sure it was only updated a few weeks ago, so I wouldn’t be expecting anything new anytime soon.

Would be interesting if they opened up the system to third party developers like specialised did. I honestly don’t see this happening either though.

Edit: Wow, you’re right. You really can’t change from metric to imperial. I saw the ‘option’ there but being an Aussie I never tried to change it. That’s pretty lazy. Surely not something all that difficult to code.

I have app running on a 2018 SX 1.
I have the evo display and can change to imperial directly on it not through app.

I was an early adopter of app when it came out first. Worked a dream at start.

Was able to update all firmware and save rides.

Unfortunately since they restricted the app because the firmware updating was crashing I have not had same success.

It still allows the setting of assist levels and will record your ride but it's hit and miss whether it will save the ride.

It also allow some minor adjustments to the evo display.

I hope they continue to develop.

Better still I wish Giant would respond to this forum. At least Specialised Customer service pop their head up now and again.
