Levo Gen 3 Gen 3 Turbo Levo - 34 to 38T chainring swap

I read other posts on here about people swapping their chain rings from stock 34 to 38T on Gen 3 Turbo Levo bikes and people said they cleared. I bought a new 38T Praxis chain ring for my 2024 Turbo Levo Alloy and the new larger ring scrapes the swing arm. Just barely through the paint but it scrapes.
So I (now) know all Turbo Levos are not the same (SL, Comp, Alloy, etc) so I’m going back to the stock 34 for now. But I really want the 38T.
Are there different offset spiders or chainrings that would move the chainring away from the motor/frame?
Has anyone ever machined the arms of a spider gear or the mounting tabs of a chainring?

I’ve written to Praxis to see if there is an alternate spider but I think my best plan so far is machine 1mm from the 4 spider arms where the chain ring mounts and 1mm off the 4 mounting points of the chain ring itself. That will give me 2mm clearance which should be plenty.

You’ll need a puller but not much of one. I got one at Ace Hardware for $15 that worked perfect. You’ll also need a 1” or 24mm socket.
I’ve written to both SRAM and Praxis and neither has a solution. So I could either machine the spider/chainring, clearance my swing arm or go down to a 36T ring.
What model Levo do you have?

Is it worth it? If you move the chainring away from BB a few millimetres you will clear the chain stay (swing arm) but also change the chain line towards the smaller cogs on the cassette. This might sound trivial but you'll be over flexing the chain on the 2 largest cogs...over flexing equals rapid chain ( and cassette) wear and constant new parts.

I have 250-ish miles on my bike and I have NEVER used either of the two largest rings in the rear. That’s why I’m changining the front ring, to make those two gears relevant.
Yes there will be a slight mis-alignment from stock if I offset the ring. I’m leaning towards adding clearance to the chainstay.
