Yeah I ran it for one ride and it ran fine. I obviously must of ran it backwards which I didn’t realise at the time. I ended up buying a new bike so I put it all back to standard. It’ll be going back onto my new Kenevo when I get it next week so I’ll let you know how it goes.

Ok so when I ran it, I had a shorter rear shock so it had one mm clearance on the chain stay. On this bike with the stock suspension it’s just touching.
It definitely fits fine on the 2020 Kenevo

Looking at my brothers old Merida which has the Shimano motor, it looks like it’s mounted in the reverse position so the chainring would work the right way around

Is that your praxxis ring ? If it is, the teeth look different to the ones on mine {so you could mount it either way} it looks to be more like a normal narrow wide rather than the curved and staggered teeth I have ? If you look on the other thread, my first picture shows the standard narrow wide ring interlocked with the new WAVE CURVED teeth.

If it is, the teeth look different to the ones on mine {so you could mount it either way} it looks to be more like a normal narrow wide rather than the curved and staggered teeth I have ? If you look on the other thread, my first picture shows the standard narrow wide ring interlocked with the new WAVE CURVED teeth.

Factory and 36T back and front. min the picture it seems to me to be backwards but that’s because the raised bit is on the rear as per yours.

If the shimano mounts on the other side of the spider, then it would be right for front mount spider rings, but not rear mount spider rings I guess. It does mount, though I guess without the guide lugs, there is the possibility that I could move around.

Yours definitely appears to have traditional narrow wide teeth (so could be mounted either way) with symmetrical teeth and buttressed teeth supports - which is weird as it says "wave" on the ring. Where as all the ones pictured in the other thread have the wave sharks fin teeth and can only mount one way - which has staggered girly skinny teeth which don't seem to feed the chain as nicely in the lower gears.

I'll be testing mine hopefully later this morning .. when I've sorted out the mudguard and it's hopefully got above 0 and some frost has gone .. On the positive, some of the mud will be frozen - so I can go faster !

Hahaha yes replacement bike finally got approved. Suppose to be arriving Monday, I’m so excited! It’s been 6 weeks but I’ve had fun with the blue beast. So playful!

Good point. The Shimano has it mounted on top of/in front of the spider gear rather than behind it like on the brose, Yamaha etc.

The praxis ring is internally threaded, so am i right in thinking the fitment on this would be poor on the Shimano and not suitable?

Just read your post on the other thread... So the raised lugs are actually on the back and not the front, opposite to how it's pictured on their website? This should see it suitable for Shimano? ?

I've ended up with 2 chain rings - i asked 2 shops to source me one and they have both ordered one in, does anyone want a 36T steel ring in Brisbane/Australia? I've got a a praxis ering 36T and a sram x-sync 2 36T - both steel rings. Else I may test both and just keep one as a spare.

What length chainring bolts are required to mount the praxis? It's female threaded so i feel like i might want long ones?
