I’ll probably be up for this.. not been to FoD before (y)

@Doomanic how long did it take you to get over to us in Surrey last weekend? I seem to remember it was a good 3hrs? I’m contemplating coming up on the Saturday and making a weekend of it.
Yeah, it was 2.5ish on the way down. Well over 3 on the way back thanks to the London Orbital Carpark.

Not helped by the frankly obscene start time of 9am meet, 9:30 depart. Fucking savages! :ROFLMAO:

Probably won't make it that far as there's loads of new stuff to ride.

A bump for visibility and to say that I am definitely available on the Saturday as well if anyone wants to make a weekend of it.

Whilst I'm minded to 9AM start to get my revenge on the southerners I'm too lazy to get up that early myself so it'll be 10AM meet at Pedalabikeaway, 10:30 depart.
There should be plenty of parking this time of year.

I’m half tempted to come along but I’d be way below the level of most. Hardtail cube plus I’ve never braved anything more difficult than the Verderers trail.

You'll be amazed at what you can accomplish under the right circumstances. There was a chap who joined us on a forum ride a couple of years ago on a Commencal HT who'd only been riding MTBs for 3 months. He rode pretty much everything on that first ride and carried on to ride stuff that some of the group wouldn't ride on big travel gnarpoons!

The first trails are right by the start of the Verderers so if you were to decide it's too much you would be able to peel off and not waste a trip.

There's no egos on these rides, just lots of encouragement, and the first trails are easy to session to build up confidence.

Should be in, anyone used a campsite locally for a campervan they can recommend for the Saturday night ? or anyone staying over, if so, where ? Looking foward to it.
