Focus jam2 nine coil shock

Hi all, bought a fox dhx coil for the jam2 but not enough clearance for it to fit ad the spring hits on the linkage,has anyone fitted a coil to theirs ? If so what ones best or am I stuck with a dpx shock.

Yes i have coil for more than a year, Bomber CR with ohlins coil (shorter than others) and its way better than an air shock (i do DH as well so well versed with the advantages of coil). Check out the pic on this thread

Marco Fontana's Focus Jam2 - Ohlins Rear Shock and Front Fork, plus other mods. Looks great IMO. Not that he would need to worry but when I enquired to Focus re: suitable rear shock, they advised the only one that was tested were the factory fitted models and anything else may void warranty...

as kiwi says, you need a shock with a shorter stroke so the spring dont hit the linkage.

Also a key note is that i have an L frame and it seems coil won't fit on M frames (in another thread its mentioned)
