Hi guys, my chain started slipping so I bought and fitted a new one.

At the same time I replaced the smallest three cogs on the cassette with those from an identical one, that had hardly been used (from my other set of wheels),

However, the chain still slips in the high gears. What could be the cause?

Do I need to shorten the chain by removing a few links? I think this might be the cause but I'm not sure.

Usualy the new chains are longer than you need so you need to check old chain lenght and shorten the new chain to the same number of links ...

If it is 11 speed 2019 Levo the chain is 116 links including the quicklink................so if you bought a 118 link chain it needs shortening.

If the chain is the right length and you still experience slippage on the smallest cogs you may have to re-index and re check the B tension. A new chain will sit higher on unworn cogs compared to the old chain on worn cogs.
