With fingernails like that I'm pleased it wasn't you! :)
Sorry about your wife's pain though, she sounds like an absolute treasure.
She didn’t shed a tear …wanted to go back to sleep 😴. wtf …I said “No Friggen Way” …”We’re going for a ride to the ER.”

Had to put my foot down on that one …and remove her garlic clove necklace. 😉

Holy smokes! Tell that girl to get the hell away if she tries to give you a prostate exam. I'm glad she's gonna be ok. Even more disturbing than the dislocated finger is the mathematics. This thread is from five years ago. You were 59 then. If my calculations are correct, that makes you... OLD. You've been up all night at the hospital. Maybe you should go take a nap. Old guys need their rest.

😴🛌🤣

It’s okay 👍🏻 …I had a nap while driving to the ER. 😳 And another one while driving home.

Whoa 😳. It’s been 5+ years since I stumbled in here. I never would’ve seen this old thread if I hadn’t been sitting in the Emergency Ward at the Hospital at 2:30am. Look away if you’re a little squeamish.…and I apologize for being somewhat off topic. 🙏

My wife’s little finger after she fell outta bed. I sleep like a vampire and she sleeps like a marathon runner. I heard the clunk and awoke immediately. Looked like a dislocation …but could’ve been broken.

During the wait in the ER I decided on a little “Flashback Time “ on the eMTB Forum. She’s a real trooper btw. No freezing and the Doctor just popped it back in place …to both our relief.

But I got to surf the “Pic-of-the-Day” thread and learned a few fix-it things.
Apparently I’m not a Newbie anymore. 👌
Ouch :(

64 is nothing! :)
(Although I wish that I was 63 again, that's when it all started to go wrong).:(

Okay, get this.…just when I thought the pinky saga was over. She started limping about a week after. Off to the hospital for X-ray’s on her foot.

Two fractured bones in her foot …wtf! Doctor then a bone specialist put her in a walking boot. We can only speculate that it happened when she fell outta bed …when she dislocated her pinky. ffs.

Installed a bed rail yesterday …before I installed the new AXS Paddle Shifter on the Fuel EXE.👍🏻😉

Last Monday had a Dexa scan - Dr sent me to check if I had Osteoporosis because last year lost 3 kilos bodyweight in a month. I'm not a laydee of course, but a lot of laydees have Dexa scans because can get brittle bones when past the menopause. Only took 10 minutes and painless tbh. Just a thought.

Yeah, the doctor mentioned brittle bones from a type of arthritis or a particular drug.

Long term steroid use can cause brittle bones.

I haven't had any steroid treatment but took Omeprazole for a year (but now stopped) which can cause bone problems hence the Dexa scan.

I’m only on a blood thinner and had a couple of broken bones from some OTB’s. But if I spring a leak it takes a bit to stop the flow of bleeding. 🩸. Aren’t shin strikes fun 🤩 🙄.
