I understand the part where you can't fly with the battery ..but will not having a " replacement " where the battery sits really make too much of a difference to how the bike handles ?
I assume what OP means is having something (bash guard) to blank over the hole left when the battery is removed. Pretty sure the rock guard can just be removed form the battery and fitted to the bike for this purpose though?

Thanks for explaining better than I could.
Yes I guess it’s the bash guard part of the battery that’s needed.
Do you think that one bolt would hold it securely enough and protect the motor as it does when attached to a battery?

Nice one. Looks like the original bash guard! I’ll probably remove the bash guard on my battery and try it out. Get a magnet for the battery lead to stop and clatter.

There's this company in Germany. Named after their main product, i.e. dummy battery covers. Picked up a card for them at the local Specialized concept store: Specialized Levo Gen3 Akku Dummy

Haven't tried them myself. Just made a note of them in case I decide I want a dummy in the future.

It's a German-only site, so here's the translated version from Google:

Feel free to contact them in English. The vast majority speak passable English here.

The only difficulty might be shipping to the UK. I do love all those Brexit benefits!
Tim
p.s. note the different versions for carbon and aluminium frames!

I forgot my battery bolt on my levo one day so used duck tape no problem. If it holds battery definitely be ok for cover , if you can get tape round ?
