Turbo Levo and Whyte e 160.
For down hill, technical type riding, bike parks or anything that is pushing my skill levels I ride the Whyte, it handles better, is more fun to ride and I’m faster on it. If I’m out riding with my wife then I ride the Levo because she’s more confident on the Whyte as well. For a really big ride out where battery is a concern I’ll take the Levo as I can manage battery level better. Mostly ride the Whyte.

2021 Levo SL and a 2019 Focus Jam2 are my e-bikes, although I have a couple of TSDZ2 conversions as well on loan to friends/family.

The 35Nm SL is my ‘daily rider’ I guess, and if I want more power albeit ‘only’ 70Nm then I ride the Jam.

The latter is fitted with mud tyres and is my ‘mud plugger’ heavy going bike for now really.

I used to have two mtbs, one a 130mm FS for general trail riding and the other was a 160mm FS, more of an enduro style. I preferred the former and I used it whenever I went somewhere I knew. The other was for places new to me.

One had to go to help fund the first emtb, the other went 3 months later when I realised that I could not go back to mtb. I am perfectly happy to ride my 160mm FS enduro style emtb everywhere I go. No need for two. I could not justify to myself a second emtb, even if it was a totally different style.

I have two , 2021 Giant trance x e2 pro 29 and a 2023 Whyte E160 RSMX mullet , I use the Giant in the winter in all the mud and slop , still on the first chain and cassette , front ring too :) , 3 years and 4500 km later its super worn but it just keeps going , being Welsh , I am as tight as the Scots :) , I have removed the odd link to compensate for wear :) and barrel adjust :), never has a problem with the motor ( touch wood ) yet , Giant Yamaha syncdrive , will change in spring time to AXS Sram and new shimano cassette and chain and new steel front chain ring.
I purchased the Whyte for bike park and DH stuff as it is very well balanced and has a good battery range in how I use it , plus I got a good discount on new when I bought it .
Plus I have a Kona Honzo hardtail analogue and a Orbea Occam H30 analogue , I really don't use them anymore , ETMB for me is a game changer at my age :) and various effects of crash damage.
You can still keep fit and get out for longer and ride things that maybe you would not on an analogue , or in my case couldn't anymore.

2 x Whyte E160 RSXs. One 2022 the other 2024. Virtually identical bikes except the suspension tune is somewhat different ( partly by design and partly my deliberate tuning) and the older bike is fitted with a faster rolling rear tyre and a full mudguard set. The older bike is set up for XC type rides/filthy muddy rides! The newer bike for forest gravity trails, jumps, drops etc. Both fantastic bikes.
The only problem I have is remembering what aspect of maintenance I did on which bike and when!!

I'm a weirdo who keeps a written record of what I did and when. Otherwise I have no record of when I changed cassettes, chains etc. on my and Wife's Trek Rails.

Written? As in paper and pencil? WILD!
I have a maintenance spreadsheet for every bike I've owned
since the Santa Cruz Superlight I bought on April 21, 2008.

Fuuuu... what a monstrosity. I loved the bike at the time, but I'd sure hate to be stuck with something like that today.

Yep, in a notebook with my Rail record on the left and Mrs Rail record on opposite page. Previous pages have maintenance info for my and her Aprilia SXV 550'S which we no longer ride and which will be sold this year.

I know it may appear OTT to have 2 near identical bikes but there are reasons it happened and there are benefits that accrue. Firstly I wanted to have a bike with warranty cover....I can fix anything on the bike except motor and battery both covered for 2 years. I have never seen any bike other than the e160rsx I wanted to buy...hence I bought another! Sadly with the 2nd hand market as it is the original bike was worth far more to me than I could sell it for.
The benefits are that I can optimise each bike for different types of ride and don't lose ride time when I strip forks and shock off one of them to get serviced. Of course I also have cover if one of them suffers a problem I cannot fix........having said that neither bike has had any issues during nearly 3 years overall ownership.

I have hovered over buying another a few times, I contemplated a lightweight (probably the Santa Cruz Heckler) but with the new DJI I put that on hold. I also don't ride with anyone who has a lightweight. We either ride Full fat or analogue.
I sold my HT as I just wasn't using it, I love a HT but its a waste of valuable space in the cave.

Then on Friday Privateer emailed out about their demo fleet sale, and I was so tempted at the price they were selling them off at. But then I would have 2 full fat 160 travel bikes albeit at the ends of the spectrum of weight and price, using as above for service / spare etc "loaner"

I have 2 eebs and one normal.

I got a trek fuel exe which is my daily driver, most my local stuff is tame and i like a fast active bike. I still ride normal bike quite a bit but since getting the exe it has taken over the normal bike as well due to how much of a workout you can get out of it.

My other ebike is a canyon spectral ON, this is my park/uplift/big days out bike i dont personally feel i need more travel than 160/155 but i have got this with more of a enduro spec (Zeb/Vivid/aggressive tyres)

The spectral's one of the best bikes I have ridden, but for my locals its just too much, everything feels easy and it smashes through trails so i rarely use it locally.

Yep, just got a Superior eXF 9039 B at the end of summer for the majority of my riding
IMG_1577 (1).JPG

got some new lift assisted trails being built a lot closer to the Denver Front Range that are perfect for the ebike. About 4 mile climb and 1000' vertical to get to the top of. They have been approved and funded for a Gondola lift that should start this summer but right now ebike is the winner for maximum number of runs. Here is a video of one of the trails top to bottom (not me) - DROP SHAFT at VIRGINIA CANYON (Idaho Springs, CO)

Just got a Fantic Fat Sport Integra E Fattty for the winter riding here in ColoRADo. First ride was this weekend, such a game changer for crushing thru deep snow!

Both of these bikes have brought a renewed excitement for me about riding. Looking forward to many more miles and smiles!!

This makes a lot of sense. Having a trail and enduro bikes lets you pick the smaller bike on mallow trails and not feel like overkilling it

Full power kenevo and kenevo sl. The ksl was an itch i wanted to scratch, its a great bike, but i only use it for uplifts and will probably sell it. Its way more useful than the dh bike it replaced though, allowing me to still ride up at the local bikepark whereas there is no way im pushing a dh bike uphill these days.
Its hard to justify keeping it though when the full power bike is so good and more useable.
Plus a hard tail i used to ride to work pre retirement, no idea of the make! its a tool rather than my hobby.
I don't own any motorless bikes.

Kenevo SL (19kg) and a Shuttle AM (23kg).

The KSL is amazing fun down tech and generally a great all rounder. It’s done 40mile XC rides across Dartmoor and Dyfi bikepark, probably as close to a one bike quiver as you can get. I usually ride that if I’m out with mates, want to go play on the steeps or if my park bike is broken.

The pivot is full fat with a 750w battery, so I ride that if I’m by myself and just want to turbo to the top of the climb ready for the next descent. It’s a touch heavy, but really comes alive if you ride it actively, much more entertaining than the other full fats I’ve ridden.

I really want the 2025 KSL frame, I’m a sucker for a pink bike😂🤣 I’d have one if it were available in the UK.
