Do you guy ever have a problem with this

I have had a problem with this on my corax and a friend with his cube of clinging dirt rubbing off the tyre onto the chain and screwing the gears and front sprocket up and making chain come off had a brain wave of scraping it off like this in the pic and seems to work rather well but not 100% but helps any other ideas ???
