I've had some rt64 for the past 5700 km, I recently switched to some ice tech rotor in 203mm(same size as before).
I noticed these rotors gets a little black. Is this due to to much heat?.

My riding has stayed the same . Only changed pads to some swisstech ebike pads.

I did notice when the pads and disc gets a little wet that they scream like a pig

If theyre running too hot you’ll notice the rotors a purpleish looking
I use Wurth Brake Cleaner too - but aerosol tins. Funnily enough, we use EXACTLY the same ones at work 😂

Been using it for 15+ years with no issues. It removes any oil / contaminate and dries in within seconds. If you spray it on your hands, your fingers start going white as it sucks the moisture out of them!. I spent many years as an instrument tech with hacks all over my hands. Now, the techs wear nitrile gloves all the time, and I sit in an office with baby soft hands!!
curious what solvents were in that cleaner. I spent career in specialty coatings industry, a lot of cleaners contained tri-chlor, benzine, acetone… those all de-fatted your skin (left ‘it white), many are banned today due to their highly carcinogenic nature and the resultant blood cancers in later life. Unfortunately employers fidnt supply nitrile gloves and regulations didn't require sfety regimens.

So last weekend I sanded the brake pads and rotors again. I went to a bike park to bed them in properly. The brakes actually were great, alot more stopping power for couple of hours of using them much they where really quiet. On my way home on the road I used them alot less and by the time I got home the brakes where loud and noisy again

The rotors also shows a little black.
What could be the cause? It was dry weather everything was clean

Are the pads you’re running sintered metallic? The metallic usually work best once heated up but not overheated (blue/purple rotor), when cold or too wet they can howl.
