Just been to local store and they couldn’t of been more helpful. Gave me a spanner, bell and lights, grease for pedal thread and even a torque wrench instead of using the Allen keys. Said I could take it up tomorrow or Saturday to give it a once over to ensure I have done everything correctly.
Well done Decathlon.

WORD OF WARNING

I have just been to my local store to collect my bike only to find it damaged. Seems quality control is lacking. I’m currently now waiting for “someone “ to be in touch with an an update. This boy is now Pigin Niffed!

See my post above bike wasn’t packed very well at all. Maybe they are rushing them out.

but Decathlon order experience is certainly unique!
Think of it as a like a bit of a Holiday in France !

You get to experience on-line French shopping and delivery from the comfort of your own home !

Hello .. Can you confirm my delivery is coming tomorrow, I'll have to take the day off work ... "Oui"
And do you know what time ? "Oui"
In the morning maybe ? "Oui"
Or it could be the afternoon ??? "Oui"
Ok. But it's definitely tomorrow and not the day after ?? "Oui"
Just to check, as I am taking the day off for this, is there a chance it might come the day after or even next week ??? "Oui"
So basically, you have absolutely no idea when it's going to come and you don't care ? "Oui"
Can I talk to someone who might care or who might know "Non"

Yes the frame was dented just infant of the seat post. The chap in the shop also pointed out some paint work issues as well on the frame.

I'm afraid they might be rushing many things in the assembly process these days, to try and catch up with demand...

Also wondering about the stock they have for different components, could explain why some have a chain guard and some don't, crank sets seem slightly different from pictures you guys have posted, etc...

Yup, could be worth thoroughly checking your bike at delivery.

Just had a call from Panther (the courier) confirming if tomorrow was ok to deliver, so two days later than the email I got but still two days earlier than expected. I'm happy, best to have it tomorrow and have the weekend to play.

So, just to keep making fun of the Decathlon online order experience... In a separate order, I had ordered a rather basic saddle for a way more casual bike I have at home and, although it was showing in stock (and still is), after 10 days spent at the "in preparation" stage, my order now moved back to the previous stage, which is "processing". The item itself has disappeared from the order details, but the price still shows, of course, hahaha!
Ordered 1st of July, might actually get my Stilus first although I only ordered it only 4 days ago... :ROFLMAO:

So, got my Stilus's bosch 85nm software update done today. I took it to a bosch ebike specialist in Woking. It was a walk-in process (15mins), no need to book, and cost £10 for the update + £5 for service certificate (optional).

I've not tried it yet, but will report back on my experience once I've had a couple of rides.

First ride out this afternoon very impressive the motor is very strong. Saddle is not very good as others have mentioned. The only problem i have is the brakes I have to press the levers along way before it starts to stop. Is this normal or can they be adjusted?

Easy to adjust, lots of videos on youtube. You could try this one for the principle albeit not the same brakes as the Stilus.
Don't forget these bikes weigh more than a standard non-electric bike. I thought the breaks were pretty poor when I first road it but it was just adjusting to the weight of the bike...

@Andyd68 Have a look at my recent post on the Q & A thread about checking if you have air in the system.
